Great stop for solo travelers or couples touring the Oregon coast by car, bike or backpack - take a comfortable overnight berth on a BOAT THAT SAILED AROUND THE WORLD! No worries, she's now a "land-yacht" - safe, calm, quiet. Add an adventure to your adventure - take a stint aboard the good ship BRETA!
What makes the space unique? Everything. You'll see. It's meant to provide a memorable experience for each individual (hence the per-guest rate). She's special in many ways, roomier than the photos can show, with hard-knocks character! Originally the boat was marketed as "The 7-sleeper for 7-footers", but one to four persons is ideal. This vessel was my home for 10 years, 6 years traveling on the high seas.
The guest-exclusive bathroom is next to the boat, inside the front door of the house, immediately to the right. Far better than any boat head.
The whole boat, and part of the house. If you are unfit, or afraid of heights, better look elsewhere. Because of the fall risk I have a mandatory liability waiver to sign before boarding (unfortunately)... That said, if you can bike/hike the coast, climbing up and down the OSHA- and ANSI- approved stairway/ladder is child's play - and a bunch of kiddos have already done it... But a boat is a boat and falling overboard, whether in the cold stormy ocean or on the hard ground is... End of story! (I've got a perfect, almost-30-year safety record with crew and guests, and I want to keep it!)

Up to the guests. I can give a quick tour of the technicalities, then let the boat speak for itself. Or, starting with that chunk of bow in the yard, I'll tell "a tale of 2 boats" long or short version, or anything in between.
1) Sign the waiver 2) Leave shoes at the bottom of the stairs - just like at boat shows (I painted the deck). 3) No late arrivals (Sorry, I've had too many, and the neighbors are elderly and asleep early too). I tend to be in bed by 1000pm and up at 0500am. - Oh, and 4) BYOB - Bring Your Own Bag/Bedroll. I have bedding available but one's own bag or bedroll is normal on a boat. (I figure most bikers & hikers carry them anyway) - The main rule is: Have fun!
It says to "describe myself". Well, last year at a legal deposition, I was told the same thing:"Describe yourself"... After a pause I said that for the past decades I have been mainly an athlete and traveler. There are lots of stories behind those two words: traveler, athlete. Anyone biking or hiking the coast will identify, and have their own stories to tell. These are the kind of folks who are welcome aboard, and who will leave with yet another story. - Oh, also I'm vegan.
