Our grand if eccentric 5 bed/5 bathroom hobbity bungalow, is in the lovely Hove Park area. Sleeping 6, we have 3 guest rooms, a twin and 2 doubles, all with own bathrooms (1 with en-suite). Parking is free and we're on 2 bus routes to town. Each room is listed (and may be booked) individually. To view them all together, type bishops road hove into the Airbnb search window. There's also an entry for booking all three together.
Our most popular room, this is a large ground floor bedroom off the downstairs hallway with twin divan beds and bedside drawer unit and lamp, fold down table and wardrobes. The sheer quiet seems to surprise our guests! Your own large, retro bathroom is opposite (fluffy white bath towels and hand towel provided). Solid wooden floors, with red spot rugs make this big, bright, west-facing red and white room a super comfortable weekend home for two friends or a couple.
You'll have full use of the spacious guest area downstairs where the lounge features the biggest bean bag you've probably ever seen; there are useful guides to the best indie shopping as well as major attractions and bus timetables. In the adjacent open plan dining area is a six seater dining table just off the large traditional kitchen where you are free to make tea or coffee as you wish. The boutique character of the space makes it better suited to adults.
Gardens are on all 4 sides. Access to all but the front gardens is by key as the gates need to be kept locked.

We'll serve you a simple but beautiful breakfast: cereal or porridge, toast, a variety of teas, real coffee and the best orange juice. We love to chat to guests and we've made friends from all over the world. In your room there's a folder suggesting places to go, plus we've lived in the area for ages so we know one or two good places and we'll point you in the right direction. We'll pick you up from the station if you need a lift and, if, like me you like to cycle, I offer a half day guided ride on cycle paths along the local coast or mountain biking on the south downs. Solo guests don't even need to bring a bike as I have a spare, but please mention you'd like to do this when you book. I charge £50 for a half day guided tour for 1 or 2 guests. Bike free.

We respect others' privacy and bed times and come and go quietly after 10.30pm. We leave the kitchen as we find it - pristine! Guests may make hot drinks and use the fridge but cooking is not permitted. Landline phones are not for the use of guests. Please, no outdoor shoes to be worn in the house. Groups should note that we don't allow partying or loud music even if you've booked all three rooms, sorry! Nor do we accept visitors who are not staying or pets, and we're a smoke free zone.

Half of a professional couple with grown and flown children. Lesley and I occupy a grand, detached bungalow, a bit of a hobbit house really, with eyebrow window above arched front door. I work from home and enjoy the local seaside and south downs to maximum effect. The cosmopolitan vibe of Brighton and Hove is appealing to visitors who see it as London on sea; we love living here too and have done for 30 years. Mountain biking, quizzing and gymning are how I mostly exercise body and brain! I'm an active supporter of VSO (overseas volunteer recruiter) and The Prince's Trust for whose young clients I act as a business mentor.
