Thank you for taking the time to share your experience after staying with us. We appreciate your recommendation and respect your point of view. However, we are somehow confused by some of the information provided, therefor, we want to clarify, so the prospective guests, reading your review will not be confused neither. We believe in correct, fair information, we stand for it, and we are acting and marketing our B&B based on this principle. Providing the right information will help our guests make an informed decision before reserving with us. More over, our guests will have an enjoyable experience staying with us, which ultimately is our goal. Below are the things that need clarification, from our point of view:
1.We, and most of the B&Bs we know, are not offering choices for breakfast. We don’t have a staffed kitchen, nor a restaurant on site. The host (one person) is the one preparing breakfast, sometimes for 6-8 guests in house, so breakfast choices are not possible. We cater for dietary restrictions and food allergies to the best of our abilities and serve a different breakfast each morning for the duration of guests’ stay. For the last 12 years since running the B&B, our breakfast was appreciated by most of our guests. So, guests whom are looking to have varied choices for breakfast might consider staying in a hotel rather than a B&B.
2. The Second Floor One Bedroom Suite is located at the second (not third) floor. Our house has only 2 floors (1.5 more precisely, basement not included). A set of 14 stairs leads to the entrance of the suite, so indeed, people with mobility issues might look elsewhere, or to stay in our Main Floor Two Bedroom Suite.
3.Our house has central air, with the thermostat installed in the Second Floor Suite. Over the years we learned that people are different, some like warmer temperatures, some colder ones. We cannot know ahead of time and prior of arrival their preferences. We adjust the temperature following arrival according to their requests and considering the other guests in house preferences, trying to keep a fair balance and to satisfy all our guests. This is what we have done during this reviewed visit; however, when anything warmer than 18 degrees Celsius is considered “to warm”, our job becomes difficult, if not impossible.

5. We are in Old Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, four short blocks to the main street of the town, where the main restaurants and shops are (10 min walk). Many of our guests are parking their car on arrival and walk everywhere in Old Town. All four theatres are within walking distance from our place. You will need about:
-10 min (less than 1.0 km) to to Royal George Theatre;
-13 min (1.0 km) to the Court House Theatre;
-18 min (1.5 km) to the Shaw Festival and Studio Theatre.
(Time and distance are provided by (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps)
6. We always arrange breakfast time with our guests and serve breakfast at that time. We always knock on the door when entering the suite. We respect our guest’s privacy but also don’t want to make a too big noise knocking on doors in respect to our other guests in house. Both our suites are quite large so depending in which of the rooms guests are, they might not have heard the knock on the door; however, breakfast time was previously arranged and respected, so no reason to consider bringing breakfast at an mutually arranged time, a surprise.
