I will send you a guidebook with my recommendations prior to your stay. I also provide you with suggested day-long itineraries, and I can give you my own tips and recommendations depending on your interests. Just ask!
The rules are pretty basic: leave the house as you've entered it. Unfortunately, some people need clarification.
The chimney has been blocked off so no fires are permitted in the fireplace.
While pets are allowed, guests are expected to clean up after them.
Adults 25 years and older please. Families welcome!
There is basic Network television and AppleTV; you can use your own Netflix/Hulu/Pandora/i-radio, etc. accounts. There is a DVD player and TV in the back den. (The den is a 3-season room. Do not use this room in the winter – or really, in any cold weather; there is no insulation in this room. It was a porch in its previous life.)
There is central heating/forced air in the house and the heat is set at a comfortable 70 degrees; please do not adjust the thermostat. Contact me ASAP if you have a problem with the temperature. There is no central A/C.
DO NOT turn on the electric heat in any of the rooms – including the great room; doing so will automatically incur additional charges. The house is heated with a forced-air, propane furnace.
If you use the outdoor grill, turn off the grill AND the propane tank when you are finished, under the grill.
There is plenty of parking is available in the driveway only. Do not drive on the grass or landscaping.
Please place any garbage and recyclables in the outdoor closet (next to the front door) for pickup. Also, please do not leave any garbage in the kitchen or bathrooms. Take any food and perishables with you, or place them in the trash in the outdoor closet.
Basic linens and towels are provided for guests, however, please wash the towels prior to leaving. Please strip the beds of the linens; they include top sheet, fitted sheet, pillowcases, and duvet covers. LEAVE MATTRESS COVERS ON THE BEDS. If you don't want to mess with the wash - you are welcome to bring your own linens - or a combination of the two (linens & towels). You are expected to wash & dry all the towels, and I ask that you start a wash of the bed linens. If you use your own linens, remove the ones on the beds and return them to the closets. Please leave any mattress covers on the beds. Don't eat crackers in bed.
The kitchen is well-equipped, but you are expected to clean all pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and silverware prior to your departure and RETURN them to their original place. There is basic coffee and tea, cooking oil/spray, spices, etc.
The house is outfitted with EVERYTHING you need to make your stay enjoyable – including dish soap, shampoo, toilet paper, and paper towels. Please, please, please – don't take these with you! These are still costly items, and replacing them for each guest will in the long run, drive up the cost for future guests. No AirBnB-er wants that!
Please let me know (via email/text) when you have checked out. This is very important so the cleaning staff knows when to prepare the house for the next guest.
Contact me only via Airbnb.
I will need your email address after you book so I can send you a Welcome packet a few days before your arrival. I also can send you some day-long itineraries I have put together to help you plan your vacation time.
No parties, loud music, or noise. The house is in a very quiet, peaceful area with 2 neighbors close-by.

Report any additional cleaning necessities and/or damages.
Any additional cleaning services beyond this list from the cleaning company will be reported to AirBnB and an additional cost will incur. You are invited to bring your own linens/towels, else you are expected to wash the towels you use, and start a load of wash on the bed linens.
