Restored farmhouse on 7 acre (3 hectare) property, set in the Andalusian countryside along the banks of the beautiful Rio Genal, overlooked by the majestic Mt Crestellina. Orange groves, olives, and pomegranates flourish on the organic finca. Birdlife is abundant - nightingales and golden orioles! Herons and kingfishers abound in the river.
Behave quietly and with consideration
There is no municipal dustbin collection .... please dispose of your rubbish when you go out (bins in Gaucin, and halfway to the Coast).
Compost materials can be deposited on our compost heap in the veg garden
If you have ash from the wood burner or the fireplace, please put it in the metal bucket (and onto the compost heap).
Do close the gates (alpacas below, wild boar and horses on the track!)

My wife Julie and I came to live by the Rio Genal, near Gaucin, in 2010 having bought a distressed finca (little farm) some years before. Having lived in half a dozen different countries - and being obliged continually to move on - it is great to be permanently in such a delightful environment. We love the wild open spaces around Gaucin and the numerous walks that are available. Nature has blessed this place (once we counted over 50 Griffon Vultures whirling overhead), while fossils abound in the limestone rocks. Our four children enjoy the peace and tranquillity of nature and the innumerable walks. We hope the grandchildren will as well!
