Our neighborhood is centrally located, with easy access to many tourist sites, shopping places and downtown.

Helpful site to plan your public transportation: www, then miamidade, then gov, then backslash, then transit.
Some nearby neighborhoods:
Brickell is a neighborhood that has developed a lot over the last 8 years. Many restaurants and bars can be reached in 10 minute by car: on Brickell Avenue, on/around South Miami Avenue in Mary Brickell Village. Mary Brickell Village has cute shops as well, and a farmer's market on Sundays. Some restaurant names: Oceanaire, PF Chang, Sushi Siam, Noveciento, Balance. Mary Brickell Village also has a Starbucks, and the fast foods BK, McDonalds and Wendy's are also near.
Downtown has some fine restaurants: DB Bistro in the JW Marriott Marquis, Zuma in the Epic, and a great Italian restaurant on the water Il Gabbiano.
For a completely different experience, go to Garcia's or Casa Blanca, to enjoy seafood in a laid back setting on the Miami River (e.g. wooden benches) – these 2 restaurants are very close to the apartment (5 minute walk).
Bayside (outdoor mall) and American Airlines Arena, home of the Miami HEAT basketball team and a popular venue for concerts, are also found in downtown.
Close to Omni you have the Adrianne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, which is on the South side of Wynwood, Midtown and Design district.
These areas have seen major development in the last couple of years, very trendy and artsy. Midtown also has a large shopping mall with anchor stores like Target, Marshall, Ross, Loehmann's, West Elm, Sports Authority and there are many restaurants in the area. Some favorites in the Wynwood/Design District/Mid Town area: Michael's Genuine food & drink, Sugar Cane, Joey's.
Selection/recap of attractions/sightseeing:
Bayside (outdoor shopping mall with sometimes live entertainment, harbor, short boat trips can be booked there as well), Seaquarium, Museum of Science, Museum of Miami, American Airlines Arena, Adrianne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, several parks, Key Biscayne (beaches and parks, cycling), Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, South Beach with its beaches, Art Deco buildings and party-scene (Lincoln Road and Hispanola Way are very nice), Wynwood/Midtown/Design District (very artsy and hip, don't miss 2nd Saturdays when most galleries are open to the public).
Central location, approx. 15 minutes by car to South Beach, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and the airport (if no traffic).
