What can you expect in the Philippines?
Friendly people that don’t mind or better yet, willing to help you. (A typical working-class person makes 250 pesos a day. Keep this in mind if you talk business or leave a tip. Labour is cheap here.
There are many stalls on the street that sell items like beer, soft drinks, water, snacks, food etc etc. An 8 ounce coke cost 13 pesos. A stick of BBQ pork or chicken cost around 11 pesos. A whole grilled chicken cost max. 200 pesos.
If you have a strong stomach you can drink the water from the tap. I do that, but it takes a couple of days to get used to it. Bottled water is everywhere.
Food on the street is safe to eat. But there are many supermarkets and restaurants. But since food on the street is so cheap, I never cook at home.
In the bar it works like this, entry is free, a local drink is somewhere between 60 and 110 pesos. A lady drink starts at 175 pesos. If you buy a lady a drink, tell the waiters what kind of drink. A normal ladies drink is customary, if you buy the girl a SML(beer) that will cost around 250 pesos. But they are really happy if you buy a normal drink.
A trike from my place to Fields cost you 50 to 100 pesos. But its on walking distance in five minutes you are in the middle of Fields Ave. I drive a scooter; you can rent one if you like.
Do's and Don’ts for Angeles City Pampanga

Другие важные подробности
The water and electric use are included for the first 2000 peso per month and based upon fair use policy. Extra bills, (high usage or aircon) are for the guest. (no worries with normal use this won't happen.)
Do as you please. Enjoy our town. But please think about my electricity bill. The Philippines has the 2th highest rate of electricity, so please use the aircon, but turn it off when not in the room.

I am a consultant traveling the World to advise, change, direct and rebuild hotels, resorts and restaurants. Hospitality management and training and development are my key points.
But enough about work, I have been traveling since before I was born and never gave it up. I lived all over the world and during my journeys I have visited 134 countries. My goal is to visit all 193 + 2 countries.
SInce awhile I live in the Philippines and besides my job, I started to rent out apartments and studios in my apartment building. And pretty followed the start of my first hotel here in Angeles City Pampanga.
Now, years later and after successfully setting up rooms, studios, apartments and since one year now also four full-services-hotel-styled-spaces, including amenities as kitchens, swimming pools and fast reliable fiber optic WiFi, I am looking back at many many travelers, their stories, reviews, feed backs and tips, most good and some that need my attention and/or fine tuning, but what I have seen most of all is the joy, lust, adventure and new born ideas that my guests all seemed to have unanimously, "travel as much as we can for fair prices, accepting the plusses but also the minuses of the place we travel too and put them into fair perspective. Having the ability to do so is to me the key to travel and explore happy, and enjoyable.
I like to thank all AIRBNB'rs that took the adventure to visit one of my spaces!!
Besides my traveling, I love to sing, cook, write and drive horses.
People should enjoy life, because its to short to waste it.
I can't describe how GREAT ASIA is, you have to experience it yourself.
