First, let me say that this review in no way aligns with any of the other wonderful reviews that we have received from our guests since joining Airbnb. I in no way appreciate being accused of making false statements. We put a lot of time and effort into making our guests’ stay comfortable and enjoyable. I always give my personal number to our guests just in case there are any queries. I did the same with this guest and advised that if electric heat was required, to call me and I would be happy to set it up with them. It was very early in the Autumn Season for electric heat, and therefore; was turned off. They did not ask or call and instead said they would be ‘toasty’ with the woodstove. It was also told to me that they knew how to operate a woodstove. Clearly from their description of the living room, they did not regulate it properly. Our home is clearly pictured on our website. We hide nothing from our guests and, in fact, our home was on average bigger than most built at that time. The queen bed in the main room is BRAND NEW from Sleep Country. To my knowledge, it was not broken. The guests told me it was fine! The day bed that was brought to my attention by these guests, will be fixed immediately. I am grateful for being told as our home was recently renovated with new beds and furniture. I always put myself available to my guests and go out of my way to make them feel at home. It seems from our observation that the weekend was enjoyed, as the kitchen and BBQ were fully used, and the campfire pit and kayaks were enjoyed. It appears that our guests left later on Sunday. I would not recommend these guests, as they were not respectful/grateful of our property or the work we put into preparation.
