NEW! 75m, located in the main market of Tel Aviv. Super central with 5 minutes walking distance to the beach, neighboring many bars, restaurants & coffee shops. The apartment is spacious, with beautiful floors, high ceilings, and tons of light & air.
A spacious, cozy and unique apartment, in a building located in Tel Aviv's main marketplace, Shuk HaCarmel!
It is a 75m' classic Bauhaus apartment, with beautiful floors and high ceilings. It has a large bedroom with a comfortable double bed, a (very) large living room that can accommodate two more people, a quiet and green balcony to enjoy a morning coffee or a candlelight dinner. The kitchen is fully equipped. Well, of course it is, we live here!.
It is full of sunlight, and there is a great sea breeze.
Will be here with you throughout your stay, is our super-friendly-overweight-yet-athletic cat Boris!
There is air-conditioning in the living room, and a very good ceiling fan in the bedroom. Temperaturewise, you won't be needing more than that.
It is super central, with very good access to public transportation.
Some attractions & their distances (all walking distances):
Shuk HaCarmel - 0 minutes,
The beach - 5 minutes,
Rotchild Boulevard - 7 minutes,
Nachlat Binyamin artist market - 1 minute (Tuesdays & Fridays),
Neve Tzedek - 15 minutes,
Jaffa's old city - 20 minutes (or by bus - 5 minutes).
Dozens of restautants - 10 minutes.
Of course, we would be happy to recommend other attractions according to your taste. As mentioned before, the building is located inside Tel Aviv's most charming main marketplace, HaCarmel! full of character, with vibrant atmosphere, fresh fruit & vegetables, spices, olives, all kinds of nuts & almonds, boutique cheeses, fresh baked goods, trendy bars restaurants & coffee shops, and more. Neighboring the Yemenite quarter on one side, and the beautiful Nachlat Binyamin street (which hosts the Tusdays & Fridays artist market) on the other side. Spend the day in the beach, get fresh traditional (and inexpensive) traditional food in one the countless food stands, have a cup of local roasted coffee, and finish the day off in a hip bar that serves Israeli boutique beers. This market, in a sense, is perhaps the true beating heart of the city.
Q: OK, so being in the market is cool and everything, but isn't it noisy?
A: Well, it depends. There is definitely no traffic noise, since there is no traffic. Throughout the day, with all windows wide open, you will hear the muffling sound of the market crowd, and the occasional "5 shekels! only today!" from the vendors. With the windows closed, you won't hear a thing pretty much. It could be noisy when the vendors open their shops early in the morning, but if you are not a very light sleeper it won't bother you. Also, the bedroom is very well sealed for noise. At around 9 in the evening, the garbage pickup truck passes through, making considerable noise for about half an hour.
Q: OK, so being in the market is cool and everything, but isn't it dirty?
A: Being inside the market, the area around the building naturally doesn't hold to a fancy hotel's cleaning standards, to say the least. During the day it's absolutely fine (for a market of course). Usually between 7-8 in the evening the market is being cleaned, which is not a pretty sight, and it doesn't smell very well either.
Q: Sounds ... interesting. Who will best enjoy this apartment?
A: The apartment is a great place to explore the city from. We really enjoy living here in the market atmosphere, and if you enjoy the market as well, with all of its charm and vibrant atmosphere, and not afraid of a dirty (and yes, smelly) entrance to the building, this apartment will be perfect for you!
