Thanks for the feedback. The listing you oringially booked was cleaned beyond an acceptable level, but with the last-minute switch, you started moving in before we had started cleaning, which was disclosed to you. With your family waiting to get settled, there was an extremely limited amount of time to get the home ready. You started moving your temporary house in while we were cleaning, pressuring us to get it done ASAP.
Within 90 seconds of your message about the sour towels, I offered to bring fresh towels. I use unscented ditergent so that guests with sensitive skin can be comfortable. They may not smell like the towels at your home and somehow this came across as “sour.”
I did apologize for the smoke smell, but as I stated at the time, there was nothing we could do except air it out. The previous guest violated house rules.
The leak had been repaired by a licensed plumber, and since this is not my primary residence, I had not used it since being fixed. I offered to have him come back within minutes if you raising concern. But like the towels, you did not want to be helped.
Ants are a common problem in homes when you leave food out - no other guests have had this issue.
Overall, I feel as though I went above and beyond for you and your family, like I do for all guests, and there really wasn’t a scenario you were going to be happy with. I was your second unsatisfactory Airbnb host in as many days. I hope you found suitable housing for your family.
