We cannot welcome guests' pets - sorry.

We are Shomrei Shabbat / Shomrei Kashrut, but are flexible concerning guests' use of electricity etc within your own room on Shabbat. However, we do ask that you do not bring non-kosher food into the house.

Helen and her husband Simon could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Beautiful room , comfortable and spotlessly clean. Found it difficult to tear myself away. A home from home. Look forward to returning in the near future!

Helen was super accommodating regarding scheduling - when Airbnb didn't let me rebook for a day later, they let me come then instead anyways. The room is well-stocked with reading material (the coffee/tea bar is also a nice touch) and the family grants as much privacy as one wants.

Clean and quiet room in a family house located in a very nice neighborhood. Helen was a very friendly and welcoming host. Certainly recommended for a short stay.

My original review was well over 1000 words, until Irealized AirBnB has a 500word review limit, so here’s just a little (499 words) bit of what was written. The moment we stepped off the bus at a stop nearly 5-10 minutes away, Helen’s awaiting husband so graciously, and so very conveniently, chauffeured us all (ultimately both from and to it the last day, along with being so kind to drop off another time in addition) home all while giving a nice and concise car tour of the town. The splendid Victorian-sort of decored room felt like a quaint English bed and breakfast room and its air conditioning keeps the room chill and the mini fridge keeps the bottles of gift wine you’ll be gifting even frostier. The bed was a really comfortable mattress. Along with essentials like a steamy iron and board, there was a very thoughtful assortment of forgotten essentials readily available, including everything from posh Dental Kit and Shaving Kit packs to luxury soap and soothing shampoo to even these mini packets of sunscreen to keep your face from becoming a tomato face as red as a beet when the blistering sun surprises you by coming out of the clouds. If you’re Shomer Shabbos, everything, including the AC, is all set and totally timered. Also in the room are those nifty Shabbos night stand lights which twists on and off with a twist and is a perfect complement to the automatic shutters just outside the room’s two windows, which completely block out ALL the outside sunlight and make the room pitch dark for a mid-day afternoon nap. Speaking of luminosities, the flexible bedside reading light is great for bedtime reading one of the hundreds of books shelved just outside the room or one from the nice little mostly Israel-travel and Jewish-themed collection of books awaiting you in the room, which includes everything from a few really in-depth all-encompassing travel guides to Israel, along with lighter finds like The Big Little Book of Jewish Wit & Wisdom, a witty and wonderful volume which will delight and put a smile on everyone's face. The two housecats are super cool and unruffled, respectively. The unruffled one is so shy you probably won’t ever see nor meet this fat cat but the super cool one is super awesome and can’t wait to come play and adoringly provide you with perfect photo opportunities, so picture purfect, she's now one of the #CatsofInstagram, and is so well-liked that her Instagram fetched over a hundred likes in like an hour, which like just goes to show like how super cool cool cats are. All and all, if there’s a Simcha in town and so many are coming from out of town, feel really fortunate if this well-located extraordinarily family-friendly ornate gem perfect for a completely hassle-free and relaxing stay WHICH SIMPLY CANNOT BE RECOMMENDED ENOUGH (especially in less than 500 words), so much all-around better than any area hotel, has yet to be booked!

We are a responsible and reliable couple, with 2 children aged 16 and 19. We don't smoke (though we do enjoy a glass of wine or two!). We are very strongly family-oriented; my husband's parents and his brother have made Aliyah, and we are now working on getting my parents to do the same.
We both work very long hours so don't go out as much as we'd like, but when we do go out, we really enjoy taking in all that our new country has to offer.
