Bright apartment among the roofs of via Sarpi. With a delightful little terrace!
We offer a charming flat, very quiet and with lots of natural light. The rooms are called after their dominant colours. The Blue Room is downstairs: this very large kitchen and living room comes with an eight-seat table and air-conditioning. It looks out onto a lovely terrace overlooking two bright inner yards (perfect for your outdoor meals). The two bedrooms, together with the bathroom, are found upstairs in our lovely attic. The White bedroom has a double bed with tv set, air-conditioning and wall cupboard. An internal window opens on the library. The air-conditioned library room has a baby cot and can accommodate an additional bed (as is shown in the picture). The Rosy bedroom has a single bed and a futon and air-conditioning. It looks out onto a tiny balcony, with a stunning view of the old city roofs. The Turquoise room is the big and comfortable lavatory, complete with bidet and bathtub. Finally, the corridor has a little utility area equipped with clothes rack, ironing facilities, washing machine. All in all, the apartment has a usable floor area of over 75 square meters (90 yd2), with plenty of room for luggage and clothes storage. On Mondays and Fridays we clean up the apartment and provide fresh linen and toiletries for free.
The apartment is on the last floor (fourth + attica) of a building from the beginning of the 20th Century. Remember: there's no elevator! But the view on the roofs will reward you. The house lies only 100 yards off via Sarpi, a thriving pedestrian area with shops, “gelaterie”, supermarkets, pizzerie and restaurants for all budgets. The neighbourhood is home to a large Chinese community: Italian and Chinese shops stand side by side, something that adds to the diversity of the local landscape. Parco Sempione, the best park in town, is a few minutes away, and in less than fifteen minutes you can walk to the trendy neighbourhood of Corso Como as well as to the Castello Sforzesco and Largo Cairoli, with its convenient metro “Red” line stop. The area is well connected: trams and buses will take you straight to Piazza del Duomo (the cathedral) and all around the historical centre. Garibaldi and Cadorna train stations are a few stops away, and you can walk to the nearest underground station in less than ten minutes (Cenisio, line 5) or, with a few extra-minutes, Moscova, line 2. Two “BikeMi” stations (public bike share) are found in via Sarpi, some five minutes away: it’s a good and inexpensive service, which will take you quickly all around the historical centre. If you come with your little baby, you can leave your stroller at the bottom of the stairs: it's safe and dry.
We kindly ask our guests not to smoke indoor: smokers are welcome to use the terrace and the balcony. Check-in from 4pm on Fridays, flexible around your schedule on any other day of the week. Check-out before 1pm. In JULY and AUGUST prices are lower, but the minimum stay is 10 days. Feel free to write to us in English, Italian, French, Greek, Spanish, German and Portuguese: we love it!
