Jane and Reg invite you to share the beautiful cottage at Hafod Wen. Sitting snugly to the side of the Main House, this charming 1920's building is an independent unit which was added to Hafod Wen when Cadbury’s the chocolate maker turned Hafod Wen into a convalescence home for their male employees. Initially built to house the warden, in the 1930's it became the home of the significant British composer, Joseph Holbrooke. Some say on a quiet night the lyrical sound of his violin concerto "The Grasshopper” can be heard in the murmuring breeze. We will leave you to decide.
The conservatory style entrance hall, at the back of Hafod Wen, leads to light filled rooms each with large windows framing the panoramic views of Cardigan bay, The Royal St David’s Golf Course, set in the sand dunes below (an SSSI) and the Snowdonia range of mountains beyond.
