As a new host to airbnb, I make every effort to make a guest's visit a good one. I am very disappointed that Erica made no effort to contact me, with complaints, during her visit, yet, I left her messages and my personal number, stating that if she had any problems or needed anything to let me know. I have no problem with someone not liking my place, but making unfounded accusations that will likely hurt my business for whatever reason is unacceptable. She obviously did not view the photos that accurately show my place or read my house rules.
I clearly state in house rules, no parties or events, yet Erica hosted a birthday party at my place generating two trash cans full of trash and a mess in the house which is the first time anyone has left a mess. Three car loads of people were in the house and the house is not designed to accommodate large groups. House rules clearly note $25 charge for extra people which I did not receive. Erica also gave access to my house to other people who arrived at the house before she arrived. CenturyLink confirmed the Wi-Fi was working. There are two heating systems and one cooling system in the house and she used neither.
It bothers me that Erica showed no respect for my house rules. I made a mistake of giving her a good rating trying to deal in good faith.
