As future guests can see we have had all 5 Star Ratings for the past 5 months or so and a 4.7 overall. As a host I pride myself in being available if there are any concerns or issues during a stay .. obviously this is not a perfect science .. but we strive to be the best. Although I do not agree with this guests rating of my home, this is what Airbnb is all about. Sometimes it's just not a good synergy. My home is exactly as the pictures show, a great wooded house that as stated is 5 miles from Ellijay, 20 miles from Blue Ridge and 12 miles from Jasper that sleeps up to 8 people for typically under 80 bucks! .
This guest gave us a 3 star rating based on cleanliness and location and as you can see we have never gotten less than a 5 in either category or typically in any other parameters .. so if we dropped the ball on this guest we apologize. As with each guest - I did ask to be let know if there was ever any issues by also sharing my personal text and phone number - I received no communication in this case to alert me that anything other than a great time was being enjoyed by all in my home. If there was an issue I would have loved the chance to fix it.
As part of our huge stocked kitchen I provide 2 coffee pots - one Keurig the normal basic model and one regular coffee pot.
I leave fruit for the guests - in this case apples and bananas plus an assortment of snack cakes, chocolates and other treats even bottled water beer and wine (side note as part of the feedback guest mentioned that there were old bananas in the kitchen) people have different ideas as to what a ripe banana is I guess. they were still there after this guest checked out (I know because I enjoyed one as we were preparing for the next guests).
I say all this not to challenge a guests opinion - again I love the Airbnb system where both guests and host get to comment and not always see a reservation or experience in the same way. But I pride myself in our great ratings (again typically 5 star) and getting a low rating is just something I felt I wanted to address.
This was this guests first stay at an Airbnb residence.
I am a Host and a Guest on Airbnb with reviews on that side too - perfect score as a guest as well.
I hope this guest finds a better fit the next time they come to our N GA Mtns.
