A simply decorated 1 bedroom haven in the prettiest village in Montenegro! Original stone walls frame a lovely vista over church bells towards the tranquil bay. A few minutes' walk down pretty steps are the waterfront restaurants and calm swimming spots. Free parking just off the road above.
Lovely views from the open-plan living and dining room. The renovated apartment has kept a rustic feel with exposed stonework, oak flooring and hand made rugs. There is everything you need for cooking great meals, books to browse and plenty of local information. There is small shady patio (at the back) filled with potted plants and an olive tree. Pretty stone steps and and a path strewn with orange trees lead down to the shoreline a few minutes away. Here you will find a small local shop selling groceries, wine and beer and plenty of waterfront cafes and restaurants. There is a nice spot to swim down the steps and a few minutes to the left. It's a large bay rather than the seaside. So there is no sand, but instead stone jetties to sunbathe on and the water is very clear and lovely to swim in. Beaches are 25 minutes away by car. From the village square you can take a boat to the picturesque islands or to the other side of the bay.
Guests will have the apartment and patio to themselves
Open plan living area with wooden dresser, sofa and dining area which seats 4 and an oak breakfast bar looking out across the bay. There is a small library of novels and radio / bluetooth speaker for playing your tunes. There is pre-paid Internet is via a mobile router.
One double bedroom with views out to the garden patio. Hanging rails for clothes storage. There is a sofa bed in the lounge but this is not great for everyday use. Its tricky to open and close, so the apartment is best suited to a couple. There is a folding baby cot which can be set up for you - though we would recommend you bringing a travel cot since this one takes up a lot of space and is not so easy to use.
Aircon: There is aircon in the bedroom and 2 desk fans in the lounge.
Mosaic tiled bathroom with small bath, shower and WC. Mains water pressure is very low, so the apartment uses a water tank and pump to improve pressure, but it still may not be as high pressure as you are used to in other parts of the world!
Kitchen equipped with full size cooker, fridge and washing machine. The owner loves cooking so there are plenty of cooking utensils and recipe books.

I'm based in London so i work with a local co-host who will welcome you and show you around the apartment.
Другие важные подробности
Handy off road parking is available on the road a few metres above the apartment. Otherwise there is a pay parking spot just outside the village. ( non residents cars are not allowed to drive through the village centre in the summer)
A lot of steps need to be climbed or descended to reach the apartment. Its tiring in the warmth of the sun and requires a torch at night (bring your own, just in case) These steps would definitely be an issue for anyone with mobility problems and perhaps for older guests. I took my mum on her 80th birthday - and she managed the steps slowly but it was tiring.
The patio is behind the apartment and so it doesn't get as much sun and lacks sea views.
The double sofabed can be tricky to maneuver, so it's best for occasional use, not everyday opening and closing. If you need it, it can be made up for for your arrival. Same with the baby cot.

My background is in design and innovation and my partner Ian is a chef. We have a little restaurant in Brixton Village market and a shop selling useful, beautiful and curious things for the home. We like gardening, growing food & eating it. We travel a fair bit and have had some great experiences through Airbnb. We are really looking forward to being hosts ourselves and helping people explore Brixton and our favourite 'secret' bits of London.
