Enjoy what is undoubtedly one of the best kept secrets in Bangkok - with views that few natives let alone visitors ever have the opportunity to experience. This is a 17th floor, 2-bedroom, 2 bathroom condo nestled off a side street in a very local area of up and coming Banglamphu. Imagine walking out of your security attended river front building onto winding back alleys where the local temple bells are rung by monks, and permanent street side food stalls outnumber shophouse dining establishments.
With views out the front door that span from Dusit Palace, Democracy Monument, Sunam Luang Park, Wat Arun, Wat Phra Kaeo, and the Grand Palace; it is easy to forget that you have places to go. During one of those lazy-day stretches relax while watching the panoply of boats navigate the waters of the fascinating Chao Phraya River below or enjoy a beautiful fireball sunset from one of our spacious bay window seats. With an unobstructed view from both sides of the apartment, our vision of "Old Siam" during fireworks and festivals can quickly turn into a dizzying feast for the eyes.
Banglapmphu is part of "Ratanakosin Island" or "Old Town" which encompasses the regions of the most important temples, the beginning of China town, the college district of the highly regarded Thammasarat University, and the lively traveler enclaves around Phra Athit, Rambutri, and Khao San Roads. Our local park, Fort Phra Sumen, hosts a variety of festivals, evening aerobics classes, morning Tai chi and Yoga. Or just sit back and relax, write in your journal, enjoy a fruit shake or lunch from one of the canal-side food vendors, and take it all in. If you are the walking sort, you can easily stroll to many of the top monuments in the area. Or if you want a different adventure, the boat pier awaits your arrival about 5 minutes away to take you on a leisurely tour of the river from which you can venture into nearly any part of the city. Just jump off at any stop and take a look around.
If you desire a piece of old Bangkok while enjoying some of what new Bangkok has to offer, you'll find all that plus a cultural melting pot of tourists and locals mixing and mingling mere walking distance from our home.
We look forward to hosting you on your Bangkok (website hidden).....

We live in the US, but the staff at the Juldis River Mansion will have the keys available and will help set up wifi with man in unit 1405 who maintains wifi for the building (each device must be registered). Or use any of the half-dozen Internet cafes nearby. The cleaning lady comes Sunday and Wednesday afternoons.
No pets. No smoking. No parties. We welcome guests who visit to appreciate our unique neighborhood for all it has to offer. Our building is a quiet sanctuary for the professionals and government employees who live here, and is not appropriate partying.
Please do not bring guests or "new friends" back to our home unless you have spoken to us prior. Our condo's 24/7 security is tight and the guards only allows guests if we notify them in advance. We appreciate that our condo association has allowed the rental of our home in our absence and we want to honor that by ensuring we have gracious guests enjoying this unique property.
Our condo is allergen-free and scent-free. We provide bio-approved and scentless cleaning products in the home.

My husband and I enjoy the arts, fashion business and traveling. In particular we have a huge heart for SE Asia. Our beautiful honeymoon was spent in Bali where we were charmed everyday by the most lovely experiences. We currently have a small but lovely apartment overlooking the Chao Phrya river in Bangkok as most of my business in fashion keeps me there. When we are stateside we live in Oysterville, Washington, and also own a second home in Portland, Oregon.
We are great supporters of the arts and try to see performance as well as exhibits as much as is possible when we travel. Often my business takes me to amazing destinations, as international fashion means international travel as well. My most recent trips have been a month long adventure from that took me and my husband from NYC to London, Milan and Paris to document a fashion week experience.
We're considerate and responsible people who understand the importance of trust in renting your place to those you have never met. Next year we will begin to do the same with our two historic homes, one in the charming historic bay front of Oysterville, Washington, the other a beatiful 100+ year old victorian in Portland,OR which is perched high enough upon a hillside for an outstanding city view. Our homes are filled with precious things so we understand the importance of knowing that those things will be taken care of in our absence.
Please feel free to ask me any questions you might have; as I will do the same. I've used airbnb on many occasions and feel comfortable that the system makes this a wonderful and safe experience.
