Об этом жилье
This large and quiet bedroom with soft linens and a queen tempurpedic mattress will ensure a great night's sleep. Apartment is located on Prospect Park, 5 blocks from the subway, close to restaurants and attractions.
Host sleeps in living room.
The apartment is on the 5th floor of an pre-war elevator building, with windows on two sides, so there plenty of light. At night you can see the moon through the bedroom window. It's generally quiet, though you do great the occasional footstep from the above neighbors.
The space is decorated with an art deco style with antiques throughout. Everything is designed with comfort in mind. There is a down comforter with duvet and a tempurpedic queen sized bed with super soft linens. During warmer weather there is a buttery matelesse coverlet. Ceiling fans and window unit air conditioning are in both rooms, as are steam radiators. Both radiators can be turned off if it gets too warm, by twisting the knob at the base. The ceiling fans are operated by pulling the hanging chains, as are the lights associated with the fans.
There is a shared full bathroom with every toiletry you can think of, a living room, and kitchen. The daybed in the living room is off limits, as that is where I sleep. There are a combination of hardwood and Flor area rugs throughout, everything is kept very clean and organized. The shower is turned on by twisting the large triangular pull, there in no need to touch the lever underneath. That should stay to the left. If the shower doesn't drain, check in between the sink and the tub, there is a knob labeled "waste". Make sure that is pulled up. (Pre-war building, charming!)
My apologies, but my home is not appropriate for children under 12.
Guests have access to the living room, (except the daybed) full kitchen with assorted small appliances (coffee maker/ grinder, toaster oven, soda stream, panini press, food processor, blender, microwave) full bath with tub, (bubble bath and salts,) fresh linens and towels, assorted toiletries, steamer, iron, hair dryer, laundry room, closet, and a dresser drawer.
Unlimited high speed WiFi is included, as is access to roku with channels such as amazon, Hulu, netflix, and Pandora.
There's also a Precor elliptical machine and some light dumbbells for those who want to workout. The park is also a stone's throw away.
My goal is to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and to that end, if you've forgotten anything or need to borrow something like a chair or blanket for the park, umbrella for the rain, or even a tool of some sort, I will do my best to accommodate you.
Общение с гостями
Prior to your stay, I'll ask for a list of any special food you need such as cream for coffee or a specific snack you prefer. I will do my best to accommodate and make you feel at home.
We'll be roommates during your stay, and I'll be sleeping in the living room on the daybed and sharing the bath and kitchen. The daybed is off limits, but you're welcome to spend time in the living room, as well. There is a desk that doubles as a place to eat. There's an elliptical exercise machine if you want to workout.
I will be available to answer questions personally, or via email and text, but I'm generally out of the apartment a lot working and socializing. I've lived here for over 20 years and I can tell you all kinds of great things about New York from where to eat to where to shop and walk around or what show to see. I really enjoy meeting guests and helping them find the perfect places to enhance their travel experience.

Hi, and thanks for visiting my listing! I'm a laid back 44 year old professional woman who lives with my 3 year old cat. I've lived in NYC for over 20 years, so I can give you lots of info on the city, hidden gems to visit that may not be on your radar. I love to meet new people from all over the world, which is why I host.
I like alternative music such as Arcade Fire, Miike Snow, and Foster the People, offbeat movies such as Big Lebowski, Shaun of the Dead, and Reservoir Dogs, and tv shows such as VEEP, Kimmie Schmidt, Broad City and House of Cards.
My apartment building has a laundry room, I don't have cable but do have Wifi and ROKU with Amazon, Netflix, and a bunch of other channels, there's a decent amount of parking around me if you choose to drive to NYC, though you don't need a car here.
The neighborhood is great, near a few restaurants and right on beautiful Prospect Park, a huge park designed by Frederick Law Olmstead. It has horseback riding, tennis, and skating within a few minutes walk. You're also just about a mile away from the Brooklyn Museum and the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, and Coney Island is a mere 5 miles away. Barclay Stadium, the new home of the Brooklyn Nets, is about 2 miles away. Downtown Manhattan is 20 minutes away by subway. The subway is a 5-7 minute walk.
