This is a corporate unit in a luxury building in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. It really was as advertised – furnished, clean, easy check-in process, there was a bowl of fun snacks upon arrival. Building complexes in Atlanta are large and impersonal, and ALTA Midtown was no different. Do not get me wrong, the apartment is well put together, there were two TVs, satellite cable, the kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes.. There is a rooftop pool area in a different building close by and it’s absolutely stunning.
For me the issue was that it felt very much like a corporate apartment, not much different from a hotel and not particularly home-like. The apartment doesn’t get a lot of light, there is a balcony, but there’s no furniture on the balcony, so you cant sit outside, read or eat outside. Overall I think I was looking for a different experience, but if you’re looking for a corporate apartment in a luxury building with the parking garage and little interaction with others this is the place for you. I was looking for something with a little more warmth and character. I didn’t have any contact with Angela but was in touch with her property manager, Crystal who was very helpful and responsive.
