La Roche aux Moines was home to the Davy family from when it was build in mid 1800's till 1998. Mary Madeline Davy was a renown philosopher and author who was awarded the Medal of Honour by Charles de Gaulle for her bravery and contribution to the resistance movement during WW2. She also received a Medal from the UK government for her part in saving many allied airmen who were shot down over France. The house still carries the ambience of welcome and tranquility that prevailed throughout its history. Situated on the banks of the River Argenton, there's excellent fishing from the garden and guests are welcome to enjoy the peace and tranquility of its waterside woodlands.

Originally from Kent, UK, we've had a nomadic life-style these last few years, living and working across Europe. Now semi-retired, we work from home in St. Clementin and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful rural area.
