Our house is a quiet sanctuary located in Nelly Bay in a quiet street adjoining bushland and backing onto Gustav Creek. Approximately 75% of the island is National Park with a variety of walking trails to suit both novices and experienced trekkers. Our house is close to public transport, car, scooter and bike rentals, restaurants and markets. A number of the island's bays offer good snorkelling trails and Horseshoe Bay offers JetSki, kayak and paddle board hire. Play, eat, drink and relax!!
You have exclusive use of your bedroom and its private deck overlooking bushland and with glimpses of Gustav Creek. You also have exclusive use of your bathroom with rainfall shower. Use the kitchen whenever you wish - you have separate food storage baskets in the pantry for anything you bring or purchase and room in the rear deck fridge for anything requiring refrigeration. Relax at any time on the very large rear deck and feel free to use the BBQ. Although your bedroom has its own TV with access to Netflix you are also welcome to use our lounge room and large TV, Netflix and Foxtel.
We would prefer that you leave dirty dishes for us to clean or stack in the dishwasher. You have access to all parts of the house except our personal suite. Beach towels are provided in the guest bathroom cupboard and a guest compendium of tours, activities, walking trails and public transport is available in your room. We are very relaxed and happy for you to come and go as you please - you will be provided with your own key to the house upon arrival. We will, in most cases, be able to pick you up from the ferry terminal and drop you back when you depart. We love greeting new guests and always look forward to return visits!!

Now retired from the health and community services sector I live very happily on Magnetic Island with my partner of 20 years, Martin. Magnetic Island is off the coast of Townsville, a large regional centre in North Queensland, Australia. We both love to travel but that happens less frequently than we'd both like because Martin is still teaching primary school full time and still loves it.
