This is my first experience booking an Airbnb. I'll try to keep this short and to the point since I've gone back and forth with the host prior to my review and, unfortunately, there was no resolution given for the issues I experienced:
1. Some, if not all, of pictures posted portraying this unit is not of the actual unit; the living room, for example, was taken from a site called Redfin, which is a site similar to Zillow. I can confirm this with pictures of the actual living room (as well as other rooms).
2. The entire unit was very dirty (kitchen, refrigerator, stove, toaster oven, floors, bathroom sinks, toilets, mirrors, couch, etc.). I can also confirm this with pictures.
3. Although the description does say that this is a 3BR space and that 2 BR are available, I didn't understand that this meant that the host's property manager and his friend would be sharing the space with us. This description was not clear enough to me nor was it made known to me by the host. When I touched base with the host on the day of check-in, he said that his property manager would be meeting me at the site. This could've been a good time to mention that the property manager would also be staying with us.
Since I am new to this site, I'm not familiar with the policies of handling issues. I reached out to the host to come to a resolution and his response was to offer his place to us to rest prior to driving back home. I declined since my family and I were not comfortable to begin with staying in a dirty unit. He said that he still wanted to come to a resolution, but then never replied to me after I pointed out the above issues.
Terrible 1st experience.
Thankfully, Airbnb was kind enough to assist me with my complaints.
