Just an hour's journey from Tokyo, this beautifully restored Japanese farmhouse is nestled in the heart of the Japanese countryside, surrounded by rice paddies, shrines, parks and golf courses. With its own natural swimming pool, indoor and outdoor kitchens, open bath, gym, sauna and treehouse, you can experience a traditional Japanese setting in unparalleled luxury, whether as a family looking to enjoy time together or travellers wanting to try something special during their time in Japan.
The house and garden are setup for people to relax and enjoy the amenities in a peaceful and beautiful setting. There are plenty of places in the house and garden to while away the hours leafing through some of the extensive book collection or just sitting and enjoying the sounds of nature.
The house has two western-style bedrooms and three traditional Japanese tatami rooms, so guests can make up their own minds about how they want to sleep. The second upstairs bedroom is perfect for children, with an attached play room full of toys and games. Downstairs the main house is furnished in traditional Japanese style, with tatami rooms, irori, and sunken dining room that can seat 10 comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped to manage large family dinners and has a large island kitchen that tends to be the place where people congregate during daylight hours.
The gym overlooks the pool and Japanese stone garden and has an adjoining sauna and shower room. The outdoor kitchen has gas barbecue, fridge, sink and prep area as well as additional sofa seating and picnic tables to host alfresco meals. The natural swimming pool, with its clear, chemical-free water is wonderful throughout the summer months.
The entire house and gardens are accessible to guests and we will never ask you to share with anyone.
