Originally from New York we settled in Northern Virginia where we raised our 2 sons. After finding a Cabin on a Mountain in the Shenandoah Valley we decided to 'Semi-Retire' in Beautiful Staunton. We purchased our 1844 home 'Witz End' in 2004 where Lou has a Healing Practice and Ellen has just finished the restoration of our home. Ellen, a former REALTOR, owns the Staunton Antiques Center and The Artisans Loft. Ellen is an amateur photographer and Lou plays Native American Flute leads Flute & Drum Circles. We are major Foodies and our younger son's restaurant 'The Shack' has been recognized by Esquire Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Travel & Leasure Magazine. Our older son has studied Improv in Los Angeles and lives in Philadelphia.
