New home - stylishly decorated located in Blacklion, a village on the shores of Lough MacNean perfect for fishing & golfing in Co. Cavan among the highlands of the North West of Ireland with extensive walking trails & hikes.
We are located in the village of Blacklion; a short stroll from Nevin Maguires Bistro & cookery school and all local amenities.
The house consists of entrance hall & w/c, large cosy sitting room with Stanley coal & log stove for the perfect relaxing evening in front of the fire. Spacious living/kitchen area with central island and dining table. All new appliances available for your cooking needs.
Kitchen area opens out onto a neat patio area with chairs & table for your al freso dining; complete with views of Lough MacNean.
First floor consists of three large double rooms and
family bathroom with immersion heated shower. Master bedroom with ensuite power shower and french windows opening out onto the picturesque lake view.
Bedroom two & three are fully furnished with storage and king size beds. Bed linen and towels are provided.
Much of the area around Blacklion is now part of The UNESCO Global Geoparks Network making it the first cross border geopark in the world.

Cuilcagh Mountain Walkway,
A32 Swanlinbar road - 13 minute drive from Blacklion (11km)
At 665 metres (2188 feet) above sea level, Cuilcagh is the highest point and the only true mountain in this part of the island of Ireland where you can see 360 degree views over the counties Tyrone, Donegal, Cavan, Leitrim, Sligo and Roscommon. This is one of my favourite walks and has recieved a lot of press over the past few months as it really is a spectacular sight to behold.
Blacklion Golf Club
Situated on the Shores of Lough Macnean, this is one of the most scenic inland courses in Ireland.
Florence Court Mansion, Co Fermanagh

Florencecourt Gardens, Tea Rooms & Visitor centre provides a perfect backdrop for a day exploring.
The house and demense, formerly the home is one of the most important Georgian Houses (18th century) in Ireland, and holds a fascinating collection of Irish Furniture and some of the best Rococo plaster work in Ireland.
Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark
Waterfalls, old abbeys, tombs, forests, fabulous landscapes and amazing show caves are among some of the attractions of the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark.
MacNean House is a fine dining restaurant & cookery school run by chef Neven Maguire.
Cavan Burren Park
A visit to Cavan Burren Park wide open landscapes, perfectly preserved glacial erratics, specatacular dolmens and encyclopedic local guides, is an opportunity to experience a vast yet accessible world of natural and manmade history.
The Shannon Pot
The Shannon 'Pot' is the source of the majestic River Shannon - the longest River in Ireland travelling 280K from its source in Cavan to the Shannon Estuary in Limerick.
Taking the N16 out of the village of Blacklion, younger members of the family will not feel left out as they discover the well equipped playground beside the Lough MacNean Boat Park.
For anglers, Lough MacNean offers the prospect of a relaxing day spent fishing. For those interested in genealogy, the Old Graveyard a short distance further along the N16, is a unique 12th Century Graveyard.
The Market House in the village is a visitor information centre which will assist with wi-fi and helpful staff to provide details of other activities, attractions and events in the area.
