Being at Jhaltola, is an experience - a soul revitalising stay in suites and cottages set amidst a 1000 acres of solitude.
The offbeat location offers unmatched seclusion, home like food, a panoramic Himalayan view, and tens of walks among forests rich in flora, and fauna, including over 150 recorded bird species that make background music while you soak in the silence.
Ambika and I, have made this our home, and we love to share this blessing with offbeat travellers and nature lovers.
The suite is perfect for a family of 2 plus 2. It has a spacious bedroom with sit in space and an attached room with bunk beds for kids. There is a garden with furniture to relax and soak in the sun.
The guests can access and enjoy the gardens, the forests around the property that is perfect for leisurely walks and birding. There is also an indoor common activity center within the campus with board games, badminton, table tennis and a small collection of books.
Общение с гостями
We stay within the retreat and make it a point to spend time with each of our guests. You would see Ambika's touch in the homemade pickles and preserves, the simple home like spread and the gardens while Madhur will make sure that your arrival, stay and departure is as comfortable and well informed as possible.

Guests would do well do carry good walking shoes to enjoy the place to the maximum. The nearest neighbour is a kilometer and half away and the nearest market 10 kms, so do carry things that you might need like medicines and personal use items.
Ambika and Madhur are the owner managers of this little piece of heaven. They live at Jhaltola amidst a 1000 acres of solitude and have made this their life. It is an alternate lifestyle that suits them plenty.
Ambika is a passionate nature lover, amateur birder and a treasure trove of information on all and sundry from the local flora fauna, culture and food to world literature and music.
Madhur is a dreamer on four days of the week and a doer on the other three. His interest areas are entrepreneurship, poetry and being with nature (not in any particular order). He likes interacting with the amazing diversity of guests that end up at their extended homestay.
They stay onsite with their 1 year old daughter - Suroohi, their dog - Rags, and their staff led by the ever smiling Raju.
