Our 2 night Artbreaks are available once a month most months of the year. We have 2 options for Artbreak, the most popular being the fully guided artbreak where we cater for you whilst guiding you through 3 different mediums of painting.
This home of Art Break Waihi is a contemporary, fresh and well appointed bach with a kiwi retro feel just a 2 minute walk to Waihi's sandy surf beach and a short walk to the shops and cafes. see other listings for other rooms
The Frida Kahlo room is one of the double bedrooms in our 3 bedroom bach.
Guests share one bathroom inside, a second toilet and an outdoor private shower with hot and cold water. In the summer months, additional guests can enjoy the 2 extra bedrooms in the Beach hut.
See website (URL HIDDEN) for rooms and prices for two. The bach is fun, funky and relaxing to be in. The bi-folding doors opening onto a covered deck creates great indoor/outdoor flow. We, your hosts, like to accommodate your dietary needs. On warm days, we set up outdoor tables and chairs on the covered deck or grassed area for painting and/or eating together.
Offering both sun and shade the bach is nestled between pohutukawas and pines in a quiet cul de sac and is very private. You can enjoy the tui bird song.
All bedrooms have louvres that can be left open to enjoy a breeze on hot summer days and nights. All bedding and linen is of good quality.
As a guest you will have access to all the living spaces and enjoy your bedroom to yourself, unless you wish to book with a partner (see different prices for painting and non-painting partners). There are also retro bikes available to ride and a surf beach very closeby for swimming.

Другие важные подробности
We take a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 painting participants and our emphasis is on being creative in a friendly and non-threatening environment. If you are an overseas guest it will be a typical kiwi bach, just modern. We also have musical instruments should you feel like a singalong (ONLY if you feel the urge!).
From travelling and enjoying the hospitality of locals overseas and in NZ I am now in a position to be on the providing end to travellers to Auckland NZ. It has been such a great experience
I love to meet others and discover new things. I love music, art, the outdoors, nature, family and friends and relaxing. I run a business with a friend called Artbreak Waihi ( and attend year long painting courses. I work part time as an Occupational Therapist.
I live with my husband, Stuart (architect) and our adult son who has returned home to study at university. Our daughter has recently moved to Wellington.
I enjoy travelling and visiting cities but I also like to get away from crowds and enjoy being in nature and small communities. This way I can enjoy culture, galleries, music, shops, food and wine whilst also enjoying private time taking walks, swimming, painting/drawing or just taking things easy.
