Downstairs has an open and contemporary floor plan and has been freshly remodeled, with reclaimed oak floors throughout. Large, all new kitchen with stainless appliances, barbeque in the back, NEW jacuzzi and large upstairs with bamboo flooring, a huge TV room and 3 cozy bedrooms.
Possibly the most unique development in a city of parks, the Carkeek Highlands were developed in the early 70's, using land that had previously been a part of the 250 acre Carkeek Park, which opened in 1919. The original brick Caretaker's house is just up the street. Because the park is a natural watershed, with wild Salmon in the creek, owls (I have two nests in my yard alone) as well as woodpeckers, blue jays, hummingbirds, raccoons and even Coyotes, you lose all sense of being in the city and there is little to no traffic noise. You can even see more stars due to the lack of ambient city light. The park faces West and sports magnificent sunsets over the entire Olympic Mountain range. You can walk to the sandy beach in about 15 minutes or walk the miles of little used but well maintained trails. The house is on a 50,000 SQF corner lot directly across the street from the park, with a private jacuzzi on the deck, nestled under the Douglas Firs, with views of the park. The bedrooms are all upstairs and have their own full bathroom. Both bedrooms have forest views, Wifi, and Queen beds. Guests have full run of the beautiful new kitchen, living room, den, dining room and yard. I am a single guy, so most people can barely tell I'm there (unless of course you're renting the whole house)
Laundry room, downstairs and upstairs bathrooms, living room, den, kitchen, dining room, jacuzzi, deck and patio.

I usually like to give guests space but love to talk about Seattle and Washington State, as I grew up a few miles from my home and come from a pioneer Seattle family. My Grandfather, the Reverend Albert Atwood, was the second (the first washed out) Minister of the First Church of Seattle in 1860, which still stands Downtown today. I know where to find the hidden gems and secret places all over the city. I also love to discuss history, music, technology, art, nature, health science, psychology, architecture and just about anything else besides politics and religion with guests. I'm a single guy with no kids and am often out doing something or traveling.
