The comfortable mattress and simple decor make this the perfect setting for a great night's sleep. The built in closet is ample. One looks out onto treetops and roofs--a European kind of view. A restful, peaceful getaway. This room is on the 3rd floor. Bathrooms are on the 2nd and 1st floors.
Guests have access to a great kitchen, the living room, dining room and a spacious backyard.

I'm glad to answer any questions and offer help. If I"m out of town my friend and neighbor acts as co-host and can also provide any help needed. She has prepared a binder with restaurant menus, lists of local current events and it has our "manual."

In 1994 I moved from NYC to Vermont to take a job creating a community resource center in Bellows Falls--a one-stop-shop for a variety of social services. This dovetailed with previous jobs directing the Children's Aid Society's community center in lower Manhattan and serving as program officer for a foundation dedicated to grass roots community organizing.
Moving to Bellows Falls in 1996, my husband and I embarked on an odyssey of renovating a white elephant of an old Victorian house. He had a creative sense that transformed the place, creating a unique and welcoming home.
After 20 years, I retired and discovered more time to garden, read, cook and travel. I enjoy listening to music with radios (I know, very old fashioned) in the kitchen, living room and the bathroom with the big bathtub.
I enjoy cooking and entertaining. My house has a fabulous kitchen with large soapstone counters and sinks. The formal dining room has a chandelier from Murano and elegant details.
I enjoy reading. My husband, who died a few years ago, collected books on natural history, sailing, ecology, environmental design, art and literature.
Raised in NYC, I frequently visit family and friends there and in other cities. My grown children live in cities around the country. When their parents moved to Vermont they, and many friends, wondered. A far cry from the upper west side where my kids grew up, Bellows Falls is home--a friendly village of about 3000 in the Town of Rockingham.
