The rooms are intended for 5 people and then quite spacious. For a 6th guest, a mattress can be added. Of course, this comes at the expense of living space. Probably not a problem if you're a family with kids and on the go most of the day. See the pictures and decide yourself if it is what you want. In the case of more than 6 persons, you can not book instantly and have to send me a request with information about de group.
The rooms are accessible via the hallway and the living room and for that reason less suitable for smokers.
Linen and towels are provided.
Upon check-in, you get a key so you are free to come and go whenever you want.
Your rooms and bathroom are your private space. We will not enter during your stay.
Our private space consists of the space that is in direct connection with my living room, such as the kitchen. For this reason, it is not possible to cook in the kitchen. It would be at the expense of my privacy.
Please, ask if you like to put some drinks/food in the fridge in the kitchen or if you need a plate.
The room is mainly intended for non-smokers. For my privacy, it is not pleasant if guests have to go out frequently to smoke.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT CARD
To buy a public transport card (the so-called 'OV chipkaart') go to a public transport office at the train Stations (also at the airport), a GVB Tickets & Info or a Sales & Charging Machine at a metro station.
You pay €7,50 for the card and you put a balance (money) on the card. A single journey from my house to the center of Amsterdam costs about €2,40. From the airport, it is less than €2,= to my house with this card and €5,= if you pay cash. With the 'OV chipkaart' you can travel throughout the Netherlands by train, bus, tram and metro. You have to check in AND out every train, bus, tram and metro you take. If you forget to check out, you pay the maximum price of a one-way trip.
You can also buy the Amsterdam & REGION Travel Ticket. This ticket is valid on Connexion busses like the 194 or 145 to Badhoevedorp. Do NOT buy the GVB Amsterdam Travel Ticket. It is only valid in Amsterdam.
The only official tourist offices in Amsterdam are at Schiphol Airport (Arrivals 2) and the Central Station (in front of CS in an old style wooden house called Noord-Zuid Hollandsch Koffiehuis - North-South Dutch Coffee House). In the city center, there is an interactive tourist information computer touch-screen located at the Stadsschouwburg Theater box office (Leidseplein 26).
Consider the "Museum card" (valid for 1 month) when you want to visit at least 4 museums in the Netherlands and want to avoid the queues.
