Dear Ilse, thank you for your feedback. We really enjoy hosting and truly tend to have satisfied guests, as well as appreciate a lot their reviews. This time I was motivated to respond since I am very much surprised that you have missed one incredibly important notice in your review, referring to my (un)presence there. You didn't even mention that I've got a very bad knee injury the night before you come (for which I've informed you on-time) and wasn't able to come and greet you? So, instead of me, my co-host daughter came to welcome you. I insist to meet my guests in person while providing keys, but let's be real, a very few of them want to be visited by host from time to time.
Next, the heating season for the apartments owning the public heating starts as of October 15th, which were the dates after your stay. So, all the above written regarding the heating is misunderstanding, the heating works during the season. We even offer the air-condition for heating before this period.
The blinds, as you have written, were in order the first few days of your stay, afterwards they became problematic. Of course, as good hosts, we want all appliances in the apartment to be functional and will take care towards this. It is clearly written that the apartment is on the ground floor and we mitigate this having blinds and curtains.
The broken key in the building door and the renovation of the building, as "bad luck" unfortunately can not be predicted by host, together with the electronic plate device, so far successfully used by all guests.
Overall, I am very sorry if you have been disappointed with some circumstances that occurred and obviously have influenced more than the warm October days in Skopje. Thanks for the recommendation of the studio.
