The house was built in 1923, sits on a very large private manicured lot and is within walking distance of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s main strip, Mississauga Beach, where people gather in the evening for the spectacular sunsets.

The house is only a twenty-minute drive to Niagara Falls attractions.
Land developers originally wanted to tear it down, but it was purchased privately and the house was lovingly restored in 2014 to its former glory. The windows, doors and some of the hardwood flooring are original to the home as is an accompanying barn/horse stables built circa the turn of the 19th century.

The home has been elegantly designed, offers a gourmet chef’s kitchen, original hardwood floors and furnishings that suit to perfection the home’s charm and character.

The living room has a wood burning fireplace that can be used with supplied fire logs. The house also offers central air conditioning augmented with whisper-quiet ceiling-mounted ductless air conditioning units in both upstairs bedrooms for additional comfort and control.

In the evening, retire in one of three bedrooms each fitted with luxurious beds and bed linens. The two bathrooms include designer towels and all natural local bath soaps that are supplied to guests that visit the property.

- Renter must be 25 years of age or older. Check in 4:00 Check out 11:00. We try to accommodate changes to the check in and out times when possible. Please contact the Manager the day prior to arrival to obtain approval to alter the times. Deposit: Depends on booking site. Direct bookings from our site: 100% deposit is due at the time of booking by credit card (MasterCard, Visa or Amex) to secure the reservation if less than 60 days prior to check-in. 50% is due at time of booking if check in date is greater than 60 days. Cancellations: are subject to a 50% cancellation fee and must be confirmed through email. If less than 60 days prior to your arrival, the full amount will be forfeited. Please notify us immediately if you cannot use your reservation. If successful in finding a suitable replacement booking for the dates of your reservation, we will refund the payment less administration fees determined at the time the new booking is paid. Maximum Occupancy: Each House or Cottage has a maximum overnight occupancy as stated on the specific site. The name and age of person making the reservation and all guests names must be provided at booking. PARKING: No street parking is permitted. Niagara-on-the-Lake by-law requires that license plate numbers of all cars be recorded. Provide the license plate numbers below. If you do not have the information at the time of booking, it will be required upon arrival. ARRIVAL DAY Please call us ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)) when you approach Niagara-on-the-Lake (either at the QEW exit or border crossing) so we may coordinate our meeting at the home. SUPPLIES BBQ and Fuel, Linens, towels, dishes, glasses and utensils are provided. For your added convenience, we provide coffee, tea and sugar, toilet tissue, hand soap, shampoo, dishwashing, laundry detergent and cleaning supplies to get you started. You are responsible for any additional items you require during your stay. OCCUPANCY CONDITION AGREEMENT 1. Liability: You accept full responsibility for all damages caused to the home (inside or outside), including all content. The Property Owners and Property Management are NOT responsible for accidents or injuries to occupants, or loss of personal property of any kind. Occupants are responsible for the safety and security of all persons, including children, both inside and outside of the premises, at all times during the rental period. 2. Loss or Damage: We reserve the right to charge for any loss or damage assessed upon departure. If extra cleaning or sanitizing is required over and above what would be considered normal wear and tear, a fee will be charged automatically to your credit card to cover the costs and a detailed description will be supplied. 3. Quiet Enjoyment: In accordance with Niagara-on-the-Lake by-laws, ‘quiet time’ for the town is 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM; we ask that you respect this by-law. In addition, we require that at all times all occupants behave appropriately and respect the neighbours. 4. Parties: We do not allow weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, parties of any other sort, or gatherings other than with those on the occupant’s list. 5. Non-Smoking Policy: ABSOLUTELY no smoking or illicit substances are permitted inside or outside the premises. 6. Odours: Please refrain from cooking foods or creating aromas that linger beyond your stay. If odours remain past your stay and result in the relocation of the next occupants, you will be charged for the full amount of that reservation and all costs to restore the home to its original state. Any cooking items that could cause a lasting aroma should be cooked outdoors on the barbeque. 7. Pet Policy: Pets are allowed at some properties for an additional fee, due at the time of booking. Please check the specific homes rules to verify that it allows pets. We reserve the right to charge for damage caused by a pet to the property. You are responsible to clean up after your pet. 8. Residence Maintenance: The home is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival and after your check-out. Please help us maintain the residence in a good and clean condition by following these simple procedures: a) Place all used towels in the shower or tub (do not leave wet towels on the beds); b) The kitchen should be cleaned and dishwasher started if applicable; c) Dispose of all waste materials into specific bins as instructed upon arrival. Note: if you wish to have housekeeping services during your stay, please let us know and we can arrange these services at an additional fee. 9. Furniture: Please do not rearrange furniture and keep indoor furniture inside, and outdoor furniture outside. Charges will be billed if the furniture is moved. 10. Information sheet/house policies and rules: Upon arrival the information sheet, policies, and rules will be provided for your review. Please ensure you read and agree with the information sheet, policies, and rules. Contact us immediately if you identify any residence deficiencies so that we may address them at the beginning of your stay. 11. Reservations are non-transferable. The person who books the reservation must be the person checking into the residence. 12. During your stay, maintenance work may be performed on the outside of the residence such as grounds keeping/maintenance. 13. Please do not use towels to remove make-up. Disposable make up removers are provided so that towels and linens do not get stained. 14. Pay-Per-View Channels: We provide a selection of local channels as part of your stay. If occupants order/watch channels not part of the provided selection, a fee will be charged automatically to your credit card to cover the costs. 15. Wi-Fi / Internet: We provide Wi-Fi during your stay

The Johnson Estate is a very special property. It sits on two beautifully manicured acres just a few blocks from the lake. The house is impeccably decorated and lacks for nothing. Mark is a wonderful host full of great suggestions on places to eat, shop and play! I highly recommend a stay at this magical home!

This home is very, very special. The house is very tastefully decorated and although it is a small house, the use of space is very smart and it is updated and big where it counts. The kitchen and living rooms are both spacious and the two main bedrooms are very spacious. The grounds are really expansive and the location is perfect, in the most prestigious and special part of NOTL. The house is well-stocked and Mark is very responsive and friendly.
