We love the coast of Oregon.Besides the obvious dunes activities, there is something for everyone in the family. If your a golfer do not miss out on the chance to play at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort,Golf Course. Considered by some to be the Pebble Beach of the Northwest. Bandon Dunes might be THE premier golf course on the Oregon Coast. The fairways and greens are well bunkered and the terrain rolls with spectacular views of the coast. Definitely worth the trip to play.
The local coastal towns all have their own unique nuances from local flavor with colorful shops and eats, to deep sea fishing or whale watching. All are blessed with clean air, beautiful and uncrowded beaches, and great off-road bicycling and hiking the trails over looking the ocean bluffs. You can stroll down a trail to a secluded ocean coves or skirt the cliff's edge to see spectacular ocean vistas which often include towering waves crashing against the shoreline after a storm and migrating grey whales.
Our friends and family have always put the West Coast Game Park Safari on our to do list. The staff is friendly and it doesn't have a 'zoo' feeling. This place opportunities for supervised petting of newly born animals, like tigers, leopard and bear cubs, skunks, ferrets or whatever has been born recently. You can actually hold a leopard cub on your lap! Amazing!
Or head inland to the Golden and Silver Falls State Natural Area. Enjoy yourself at Golden and Silver Falls by taking full advantage of the great spots for hiking, picnicking, viewing scenery, fishing and wildlife watching and bird-watching.
Located a half hour from Coos Bay at the end of Coos River Highway, Golden and Silver Falls is 24 miles off Highway 101.
Whatever you do please do not miss Shore Acres State Park. Shore Acres features lushly planted gardens with plants and flowers from all over the world. Something is in bloom almost every day of the year. The Park is incredible especially between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve, the gardens are ablaze with thousands of colored lights and holiday decorations.

Hey there I’m Bonnie,
I'm a blessed beyond belief with an incredible family and an awesome relationship with Jesus. My husband and I live in California. Our daughter is studying nursing and our son is in Heaven after a fearsome but heroic fight with cancer. Life is short and life is tough; but I share my story to strengthen others.
We also own three vacation rentals. Two are located at the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area on the coast of Oregon. It’s one huge sandbox to play and spend time with family and friends riding all types of sand toys. Our newest acquisition to our rentals is on Maui in the Kaanapali area directly on the beach. It is such a joy to watch whales breeching and dolphins spinning while sitting in the Lanai.
My passion is traveling and meeting people and getting to know new cultures & their cuisines. I love gardening and cooking; being able to pick and eat fresh herbs and vegetables makes my day. I am a huge foodie and travel for food! Seriously, I prefer to go to unfamiliar places to try different cuisines and ways to season everyday cooking.
Spring is my favorite time of year with flowers blooming everywhere and the world awakening to color again. Though winter time is a necessary season for me too, just to take a break, be dormant and to take time in retrospect.
I am at home wherever I go. I love swimming, snorkeling, hiking and watching sunsets. I love the mountains and the coast.
I love life.
