This is a distinguished Japanese-American home, like a retreat, at street's end, with covered breezeway bridge entry. It is filled with art produced by the host (and others), a professional artist and writer (see online). I have several art projects going on at a time and enjoy sharing. The house is also filled with fine Japanese country-stye furniture and is often characterized as "like a museum". There is much to see and the view is non-stop. Great in all seasons.
You get the master bedroom downstairs w queen bed accesible from one side, and its own private bath. A large leather couch is good for a 3rd person. The big window looks out on trees and park.. Electrical heater, good lighting, very private.
Guests have the run of the house (3 bedrooms, baths and fireplaces), including kitchen but might keep their cell phone conversations to themselves. There is a main entrance upstairs, and another downstairs where the bedrooms are located, all are welcome to come and go as they choose.

Guests are on their own and should bring their own food as individual preferences are difficult to accommodate with confidence. I provide walnut-oatmeal, toast and coffee. I'm sociable and friendly and always appreciate a good conversation out on the deck in the morning. I stay out of the way, or nearby, your choice.

This wonderful house was designed by prominent Seattle architect Ralph Anderson and was built in 1960. It features a 60-foot wall of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a city park and Puget Sound and feels like a getaway where I have loved filling it with beautiful things. It is ideal for someone who may to stay for longer periods. Rental adjustments can be made.
I would prefer if guests did not wear heavy perfume or essential oils as these scents are very difficult to remove from room and house once a guest has departed.

I am an artist with a cool modernist hourse and studio overlooking Puget Sound. Guests have their own large bedroom and bath, access to kitchen and all the house. I work at home, always busy with projects in an active life of creating art works in wood, steel and on paper. You can look me up on the internet to see more than anyone needs to. I love the world and have a metaphysical view of life, open minded, no agenda, no complaining, joy, fun and creativity paramount.
