The house is located in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood, conveniently located near downtown San Jose. It is minutes away from many high-tech companies, San Jose Convention Center, San Jose State University, SAP Stadium, etc. Coffee or tea is provided for each guest. Each bedroom is clean and fresh, with ample amounts of towels, complimentary snacks, and a quiet space for guest to rest. The house is full of the essentials to make your Silicon Valley trip the most successful one yet!

NO SHOE POLICY
Please leave your shoes at the shoe rack next to the front door before coming into the house. The hosts provide flip flops/ hospitality sandals for each guest. If guest prefers to wear his or her own indoor shoes, that would be fine as well. If the guest walks out the backyard, please wear outdoor shoes.
The bathroom is shared among three bedrooms. Cleaning by the host will be done at least once a week. If the entire house is fully occupied, cleaning will be done twice weekly by the host. During this time, however, please be courteous to your fellow housemates and pick up after yourselves. Picking up after yourselves may include the following:
- picking up your hair from the floor after each shower
- dumping the hair from the shower drainage into the trash each time after you shower
- gently wiping the bathroom mirror if there is a splash
- When the trash bin becomes full before the next clean-up, dumping it into the large trash can in the backyard and replace the trash can with a plastic bag if it’s unusable
- trash can plastic bags: located inside the cabinet under the kitchen sink
- toilet paper rolls: located inside the cabinet on top of the toilet
- paper towels: inside the cabinet next to the front door
- all other supplies: inside the vertical kitchen cabinet to the left of the washer
Remember, this is a home and not a hotel, and all of your cooperation is greatly appreciated. The one-time clean-up fee charged per customer only covers for the ONE-TIME clean-up at the end of your stay. Therefore, anything extra is a courtesy by the host. If the host finds any guest making excessive mess, it will be unfair to other housemates and the host reserves to right to take away money from the security deposit.
This is shared among all guests, so please either properly label your food or put them in a specific spot so other guests won’t be confused. All the food provided by the host will be on the top 2 levels, this include: milk, eggs, bread, hummus, coffee, ketchup, etc. If you’re not sure, please ask a fellow housemates or the host.
COOKWARE: All of the pots, pants are high-end non-stick pants. Please treat them with care and only use the soft yellow part of the sponge to clean them. Again, please clean them after each use and do not leave them unwashed. This includes all utensils, bowls, plates, and the expresso maker.
MICROWAVE: Please cover your food items with a lid before heating up food dishes. This prevents mess.
COUNTERTOPS AND STOVE: Because the kitchen is shared, do not leave countertops or stove dirty. There are plenty of clean microfiber clothes and disinfective wipes, so please wipe the countertop and stove tops clean after each use.
HEATER: San Jose gets cold at night sometimes, there are extra thick blankets inside the room provided by the host. If using the heat is necessary, please feel free to help yourself. However, please remember to turn off the heat each time before you leave the house or when the house gets warm enough.
FANS: there is no air conditioner in the house because it is not necessary, however, there are plenty of fans to be used. Each room has its own fan, and if necessary, the living room has an extra large fan available. Please turn the fan off after each use.
WASHER & DRYER: please wait till you have a full-load as much as possible before you use the washer. The current limit per bedroom is 2 loads per week. Please be courteous and follow this rule. The dryer is located in the backyard utility room labeled “DRYER.”
LIGHTS: please feel free to turn on the lights as you deem necessary and remember to turn them off when they are not in used.
BEDDING, SHEETS and TOWELS:
For guest who are staying a week or more, fresh beddings and towels will be provided by the host each week. All items will be changed after each customer, no matter how long he or she stays. As for towels, please feel free to use the washer to clean them as you wish during your stay. Please see “WASHER & DRYER” rule above under “ENERGY CONSUMPTION.”
As a courtesy, the host provides continental breakfast to all the guests. This may include the following: coffee, fruits, bread, nuts, energy bars, cereal, milk, eggs, butter, almond/ peanut butter, etc. All of the food items are based on availability and is estimated by the host to provide 1 serving per customer per day. Guests can make requests and let the host know when a certain item runs low, but there is no guarantee by the host that such item will be replaced. The host reserves the right to take away this privilege anytime.
For customers who stay for a week or longer, trash day occurs each Sunday. Please take the bins out (gray recycle bin and green plant bin out each week).
