WOW! Where do I begin …. Firstly, let me say that there is not "yelling" at the house, that's a silly exaggeration. I'm sorry to see that Joy found it disappointing to stay here. She waited until after she moved in to say that she would be sleeping during the day. (I would have recommended that she find another place if I knew that, as there is also noise from landscapers and roofers around the neighborhood during the day.) The dogs are rescues that stay in a separate section of the house away from the renters, but there is no issue with anyone petting them as they really like the people who stay here. I never saw Joy speak to the dogs or attempt to get to know them. (They stop barking when you tell them using their names.) The lease states that there are POSTED House Rules and I do leave notes posted when needed (so I don't have to annoy everyone when one unknown person does something messy or dangerous). The House Rules include: taking off shoes at the foyer, not cooking anything that is smoky or greasy or smelly, locking the front door when the house is empty during the day, and locking the door after dark, not flushing heavy duty items down the toilet or getting sand in the tub - due to the age of the pipes (hence septic safe TP), cleaning up after using the kitchen or bathroom, NO smoking, NO candles, NO hair dying, etc. The bath mat was supposed to be washed by the renters, as I don't use their bathroom, and there is a stack of clean bath mats in the laundry room that they can access. The lease also includes the renters agreeing to cleaning their shared areas. If there was a problem with the bathroom, the cleaning supplies were right there to correct it, so I'm not sure why Joy is blaming me for an area she used and was supposed to keep clean. As to the cookware - it was being used on high heat which left aluminum on the glass stove top (it had to be deep cleaned often after Joy left burned food and grease on the surface). The cookware was removed from the kitchen and replaced. Separate pieces were removed due to grease build up from not being thoroughly washed. Joy cooked garlic filled sausages every week and took no precautions to make sure the house didn't reek for the other roommates. Air cleaners were added during her stay and removed afterward. Fast food containers that filled up the kitchen garbage container to the top were removed, as Joy and her roommates refused to take out the full garbage or recycling containers to the outside bins (which are conveniently located on their walk out to their cars). Renters are allowed to park in the driveway, but they were asked to bring back their recycling bins from the curb after collection on Tuesday. They refused to move the bins, which left half the driveway blocked most of the week (I have my own recycling bins and take care of the large outside trash bin as well.) (Website hidden by Airbnb) do NOT stay in a room in the garage -- that's insulting -- I have my own master bedroom, bathroom, family room, office, and lanai; the dogs stay in a remodeled air conditioned two-car garage when I'm away from the house. The renters have their own living room, bathroom, and kitchen. (Not sure why Joy would complain about the mess in areas she agreed to clean and which I do not use.) ACCURACY FEEDBACK rebuttal: The DOGS are mentioned on all advertising. SECURITY CAMERAS do not record sound or video, they exist to notify me that there is movement on the property while I am away at work. (They were installed due to multiple incidents when I came home to find that the doors or windows were left unlocked by renters and the house was empty.) As far as my asking Joy to clean up her hair, her bedroom was FILLED with hair balls and took longer than normal to clean after she left. As far as the house being at 80F during the day -- THIS IS FLORIDA and it's SUMMER. If a house at 80F and dehumidified seems hot, please step outside for 15 minutes and come back inside.
