Orick California is a very special place. It is close to some of the most beautiful and scenic parts of Northern California, yet the town itself is very dated and rural, so I do understand your comment in reference to the movie. With that being said, it is the rural qualities that draw people to this peaceful area. Green pastures, dairy farms and livestock, close to beaches, and State Parks, it is a spectacular area to visit with much to offer in the line of outdoor fun, such as hiking, kayaking, surfing, paddle boarding, bird watching, fishing, and much more. While the town itself has little to offer in comparison to bigger cities, there are two restaurants (one quite known in the county for its pies), a little market, post office, and a pretty good deli down the road at the gas station. The town of Trinidad is but 20 minutes away also, with a grocery store, fine dining, and shopping. This home in particular, is one of my favorites. It has a great layout, is very charming, and is very easy to get to. As for the rental agreement, Airbnb is a wonderful platform for listing vacation rentals, and they have general agreement, unfortunately, their agreement is unalterable and we have to conform to Ordinances in our area, thus the separate rental agreement. We do thank you for your stay and hope you will return to rural Northern California coast to give us another try again soon.
