Tina and I are offering an exquisite loft rental, walking distance to Brown/ Waterfire/Downtown. Central Air. There is a sitting area, very comfy chairs --with coffee bar, mini-fridge, microwave, skylights, romantic bed nook. The second room has a deluxe air bed with dial-controlled inflation. Use the full kitchen, porch and yard. For many years we hosted a unique arts salon/open house here that featured local talent. Parking for 1 car, and usually we can accommodate 2. Talk to us first.
The loft is a generously sized suite on the third floor with two rooms. The main area boasts a lovely "bed nook" with comfortable queen-sized mattress, sitting area, and off-to-the side microwave-mini-fridge -coffee bar. The second room contains a deluxe queen-sized air bed that adjusts with the turn of a dial, full dresser and clothing rack (ironing board and iron available). Natural light from three wonderful skylights and various windows throughout the loft cheerfully brighten the space. In addition, the loft offers adjustable central air and a distinct sense of privacy with a lockable door. It is Host Rich's favorite space in the house and he lived here for a year during his marital separation.
Our home is a shared space. You get full use of the downstairs kitchen and living room, front porch and back yard. What else do you get? Your co-hosts Rich and Tina. Rich is a CPA and mortgage advisor who is known around town as "Zen Mensch accountant". His partner Tina is a proud single mom of two young adult sons who loves to cook. Rich's son Malcolm is 16 and splits time living with his Mom. We have two lodgers and two cats, Sky Chief, an out-door cat who lives up to his name, and Puma, still adjusting to life in the city.
The house -- sometimes called "Mensch Manor" -- is on Hope Street midway between Brown-RISD and Hope Village. There are countless places to eat, shop, jog and stroll. There is a bus stop across the street, a synagogue within a 5-minute walk, churches and meditation centers nearby. You can easily walk to downtown as well. It's an attractive, vibrant area, and that's why we stay -- despite the high property taxes!
You have access to the full kitchen for cooking, and the adjacent living room. There are laundry machines available in the basement if you are here for longer than three nights. We offer additional space in the refrigerator/freezer, pantry and bathroom that you may use. Of course you can lounge on the front, back porch or garden area at anytime.
There is driveway parking for one guest car. Street parking is restricted to permit-only although we may occasionally have a guest pass available for a night.

We are friendly, engaging and busy professionals and students. Rich loves to network and (depending on his mood) talk progressive politics or tax deductions. And we totally respect your wishes to be as quiet and private as you want.
- Lock the outside door when coming and going, set the security as needed (instructions are in the House Rules and we will also review with you in person) . Enjoy yourselves, and be mindful of others with regards to kitchen and bath
