Thuan is a friendly host and his room was okay for what you pay. However, the shower has no water pressure and the hot water comes from a bucket - there is no door, only a curtain, to the bathroom. Most importantly, the mattress is rock hard and incredibly uncomfortable. We ignored this point from other traveller's reviews as we know that Vietnam generally has hard mattresses, but this is so bad that we could not sleep on it. Also, there were lots of jumping bugs crawling all over the bed that was pushed against the window. We had to move the bed in the middle of the room. The power went out for the whole of Mui Ne, which apparently is common, but this hostel has no generator so when the aircon, wifi and chargers died we did not know what was going on and we couldn't find anyone to ask for several hours in the morning as no one was at the reception. Also, whilst the location is near a market, it is a 10/15 minute taxi journey to the main strip of restaurants.
