Come stay in our eclectic loft in vibrant Bushwick. Our place is located on a street known for its murals, and is surrounded by a variety of cafes, bars, and award winning restaurants. The L train is a 5 minute walk (Jefferson stop), which can get you to Manhattan in 15 minutes, and Williamsburg in 10.
Welcome to the Reptarium (aka Troutmansion). We’ve lived in this converted factory loft building for almost 4 years and built the rooms nearly from scratch. We are a prop master, advertising producer, and solar engineer, which has contributed to the highly eclectic decor. We also have a sweet mutant kitty named Bones (he’s got too many toes).
You’re welcome to hang in our airy, light-drenched living room. Watch something on the projector (equipped with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, HBO) and have some draft beer from our donation-based Kegerator (subject to availability). Say hi to Jeff, our friendly T-Rex mural. If you need to cook something, our kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessities. Learn the periodic table as you take a hot shower in our shared bathroom.
Your bedroom comes equipped with a full size bed, set of drawers, mini-fridge, and small VHS TV with some sweet tapes. You also have a separate office area with a desk, closet area, shelves, and a place to store your suitcase. (I enter your office to get to my room, but your bedroom is completely private)
We also provide:
-tea and coffee from Brooklyn Roasting Co.
-fresh linens and towels
-Jason’s all natural brand shampoo, conditioner, and body wash
Please note: The rooms in our loft are bi-level, with a standing height of 5’8”. Victor, who lives here, is 6’4” and says “it's a nice thigh workout of you do it right” We’ve provided plenty of seating to accommodate taller guests.
In addition to the common areas, guests are welcome to use the laundry facilities in the basement, or enjoy our roof with excellent views of the Manhattan skyline. BBQ on the roof during summer!

Hi, I'm Grace and I work as a freelance prop master and production designer for film and TV, which is one of the reasons our house is so eclectic. I make experimental films often using analog materials. I also love to cook, or at least eat.
