After a busy and fulfilling corporate life in the manufacturing industry, I decided to take a very early retirement and set myself up in rural France - the birth place of my father. Originally I had planned to buy an old farm house and keep goats and chickens... but things changed when by chance I came across Chateau de La Celle-Guenand. Its one of those special places, just off the beaten track, with a great history and a wonderful setting. To help me with the restoration, I've opened up B&B accommodation in the main house, and I've renovated 3 out-buildings to provide private self-contained holiday rentals. We're in the southern Loire Valley, so this makes a great base for exploring the region, which is known as the Valley of the Kings because of the large number of beautiful castles along the river - many are open to the public. I look forward to meeting you!
