Privacy, Quiet and Exclusivity- This is our most distinguishing feature and not to be found anywhere else on the California Coast. Wellspring Ranch is governed by the rhythm of its guests, exclusively its guests, and surrounding nature. Each accommodation is (by design) spaced a distance from one another- such that the remote feel you come for is preserved. Not more than 14 guests in 7 rooms are accommodated. "Listen to the silence..."
The Ranch- All 160 acres of the Ranch are open to our guests and waiting to be explored. This includes the immediate Gardens as well as the five-mile network of interior Trails leading to many intriguing vista points and secluded meditation spots. An amazingly abundant natural world to take in.
The Accueil- Nicaraguan tiled floors under an enclosed insulated gazebo, a fireplace keeping it cozy on chilly evenings and early mornings- surrounded only by oak trees and the sounds of nature. This cabana-styled living room is dedicated to the quiet use of our guests. Show up in the afternoon when you've had enough of the sun in the gardens. Browse through the library of books you will find. And don't forget to check out board games stored in the trunk. The Accueil is also a nice place to return to post dinner/campfire, its always open- find furry throws and pillows on the leather sofas and settle in. Variety of organic teas in the caddy.
Friendly staff, here to take care of you, all day long!
The Yoga Facilities- All level classes 9:00 am Sat & Sun. Indoor studio with mirrored wall, props, mats, music.
Massage and Body Work. Separate fees apply: 1 hour Single $135, 1 hour Doubles/Couples $270. Massages offered Sunday afternoons, to guests staying Sunday night.
The Outdoor Showers- This is an important water feature here at the Ranch. They’re conveniently located outside the indoor yoga studio. We have two. Stand naked (privately) under the oaks and experience an “Oborain” shower.
Cedar Japanese Soaking Tub- Under one of the oldest oak trees on the ranch, a perfect evening spot to listen to owls cooing and wooing (we have seven different species to entrance you.)
The pond is 20,000 gallons of spring water, filled with lilies and blooming lotus, and home of several families of large orange Koi. Expect to see an abundance of red and blue dragonflies, butterflies and hummingbirds.
Santa Rita Road- The perimeter road surrounding the Ranch provides an accessible (it’s right outside the gate) yet quiet (rarely a car to be seen) trek (mild uphill grade) for a cardio session of running/walking/biking, or just a beautiful and highly aromatic hike through oak and laurel bay forests, hillsides of sage, and in spring, blooming lilac, purple lupine and yellow poppies. View of the ocean from the top.
*15 minute drive to launch site for paragliding above Cayucos Beach.
*25 minutes scenic trip off ranch to the glorious Pacific Ocean, heart of Paso Robles wine country and fabulous chic restaurants. Car services available- please inquire
*Private wine tours of Paso Robles Wine Country pickup service from the ranch- please inquire for contact information

However much they request.
I'm from Los Angeles originally, my husband from New York City. We have owned Wellspring Ranch since 1997. It has been a place of rest and healing, a sanctuary, for our family and friends over the years. In 2014, we opened Wellspring to the public first as a Bed and Breakfast, and in 2015 as an exclusive couples retreat. The ranch is a quiet peaceful place and resonates with couples who enjoy hiking, soaking up fresh air and nature, books, some good wine and real food, and maybe a little yoga too...well, all the things we love, all the things that have nourished our body, mind and soul for many years. Wellspring has plugged us into the important things in life. We want to share this bliss with everyone who comes.
