We have created a serene storybook bedroom in the Wherehouse Art Hotel! Perfect for relaxing! Tall ceilings, a lovely mural and an eastern facing window with velvet blackout curtains!! Lots of Art! The space also includes access to an enormous main space and kitchen that you are welcome to use. Small bathroom (shared). If this space is not available on your preferred dates, please view other listings by this host!
Once part of an Artist collective, this unique room is located in an historic industrial building in Downtown Wiston-Salem right above Krankies Coffee in the Heart of the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter. It is across the street from the new WF School of Medicine on Vine street. It is one bedroom with two queen sized beds and a large flat screen television with Amazon Fire Stick. I provide Netflix, HBOnow, Youtube, Amazon and Hulu. The (sometimes) shared bathroom is only a few steps away across the hall. Large Bath Towels provided. Wi-Fi. This building is downtown and is in the center of a lot of action, expect a little street noise.
It can be a bit of a maze, so I will greet you in.

Out of respect for other guests the main space/kitchen has quiet hours between 10pm and 8am.Below is a thriving cafe and coffee house from which you may be able to vaguely hear activity from in the bedroom. The cafe shuts down by 11 and usually becomes quiet after then. A train can be heard on the other side of the building, so it's not very loud, but notable. Needless to say this is a live building and I Love it!! I hope you will too! It is best if we communicate time of arrival so I can hand over the keys and show you in. Same for check out.

I am an artist, performer and film maker living in Winston-Salem. I have traveled a lot and know the difference between having just a so - so experience being hosted and a fantastic one! I learned a lot about being gracious and available during my many years as a live in personal assistant for artist and musician David Byrne and have brought that organization and attention to detail into my desire of being a host. I strive to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
