Only 7 minutes drive to Bloubergstrand, full garden cottage equipped with full DSTV, Wi-Fi, full bathroom with shower and bath, extra guest toilet, safe parking, safe and quiet area, ON the MyCiti bus route, 15 minutes drive to Canal Walk and Ratanga Junction, 30 minutes to the city and Waterfront. One bedroom with double bed, extra single bed (day-bed) in spacious open-plan living room. Washing machine and dryer as well. Comfy and affordable!
- Prefer smoking outside, but if it's cold or late at night, I'm not going to be bitchy about a few smoked inside in the living area. But please not in the bedroom, though.
- Please use water sparingly. Cape Town is suffering from a severe drought at the moment. We take quick showers. And if we bath, we use buckets to throw the greywater on the plants and lawn. Would be so grateful if you could do the same to help our beautiful City.

Jana is a 34 year old day sleeper and night dreamer (also known as a writer). When not busy with those important things, she's a translator by occupation. She is being survived by her partner Wynand, a graphic designer and 90s aficionado. They have a little 2 year old girl who is an absolute delight, called Leja. Rounding off the family there's Delores, a fluffy-puffy catmadam of mysterious origins (they suspect Norwegian Forest Cat ancestry, but maybe it's all a ruse). Her pet-peeve is a silly and friendly bullterrier girl called Anton, who is all white, except for her one brown ear (always at your service!).
We are lovers of books and good music. You're welcome to make use of Jana's extensive library in the main house while staying at our AirBnB garden flat, Jubilee House.
Among Jana and Wynand, they've travelled to New York City, London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Antwerpen, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Phuket, Phi-Phi, and various small villages in Belgium. They really want to explore Vietnam still, and visit some friends in the Netherlands and Belgium (maybe extending to Germany and Norway as well).
Our style of hosting? We feel you're here to have a home away from home. We are not going to be bothering you in your home. You can just relax and enjoy your holiday in our beautiful city Cape Town!
We are however very knowledgeable about travelling in South Africa as a whole, especially the Cape Provinces, and we will share lots of tips and advise with you if you'd like us to!
Friday evenings is Braai night. Braai is the Afrikaner's version of barbecue. But you haven't tasted proper meat on an open fire if you haven't been to a boeremeisie's braai. It's a chilled-out relaxing affair, usually with some music on the vinyl, fire crackling, waiting for the coals to form, and then it's braai time! If you are at home on a Friday evening, please know that we have a standing invitation to join us at our braai. How we the locals do it, everyone brings his own piece of meat and drinks of choice. Anything goes. it's a bring and braai. If this is a foreign concept to you, just ensure that you have your drinks of choice and then you'll sommer be eating with us. You'll see, us Afrikaners are friendly and welcoming like that.
You'll have a ball, I can guarantee it. Especially when Jana is bringing out her legendary braaibroodjies. We're friendly people, albeit a bit introverted at times.
oh - and jana's motto is - be kind ~ everyone is fighting their own battle of which one knows nothing about.
