You will feel like home in the heart of Cihangir!

One bedroom with king size bed for 2, extendable sofa and another sofa to accommodate 3 sleeps in the living room, fully equipped living room, kitchen and bathroom.

A top floor (no elevator), modernly furnished apartment flat in the heart of Cihangir/Beyoglu, with a nice Topkapi palace and Galata tower view. 2 minutes walking distance to the tram. 10 minutes to Taksim square. Apartment is on a safe, silent and high quality street. (on the same street with the Witt Istanbul Hotel)

The flat offers, air conditioning, central heating, WIFI, I pod dock, apple tv and airport express, washing machine, dish washer, a 42" flat screen TV.. And a fully equipped kitchen.

Cihangir is a trendy neighborhood with a bohemian flair. Its narrow streets are home to a thriving arts scene and a jumble of local (designer) boutiques, trendy cafés and some of the finest restaurants in the city – all within walking distance from the apartmentl. It also offers magnificent views of the skyline’s domes and spires – even better than being in the shadow of them. It’s a bustling gentrified quarter only Istanbul insiders know about and the ideal spot if you want to experience what it is like to ‘live’ among the locals.

Cihangir offers an oasis of calm in this bustling city, without being isolated from all the action. It’s currently the place to be seen, to shop and to dine out.
Cihangir offers an oasis of calm in this bustling city, without being isolated from all the action. Most of Istanbul’s main tourist attractions are just 5-10 minutes away from where you will stay (see map below). It’s within walking distance of famous spots such as Taksim Square, Istiklal Caddesi and Istanbul Modern. The Sultanahmet quarter – with among others the Topkapi Palace, the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Basilica Cistern – can be equally quickly reached by a short tram or taxi ride.

Cihangir is one of the first truly gentrified neighborhoods of Istanbul. Just like New York’s Meatpacking district or London’s SoHo, Cihangir is quietly exciting. It’s an enclave of funky cafés, restaurants and boutiques filled with hipsters tapping their laptops and local artists alike. In short, it’s currently the place to be seen, to shop and to dine out.

As I do live in this apartment, -except the hosting periods- I see my guests as friends not tenants. Therefore I do expect to be treated the same way ..

thanks a lot!!

Istanbul is huge, crowded, noisy, tasty … all what you can imagine for a metropolis. In the middle of this we found Arzu, her beautiful flat (great location!) and her great restaurant Dai Pera. She is the best ambassador for Airbnb and should be on their salary list. “Welcome Home” is the slogan from Airbnb; “a time to make friends” would describe our feelings with Arzu. Thank you Arzu and see you soon! Roger, Erica & Lu

This is a nice apartment in an very good location for independent and physically fit travelers. Easy to get to major Istanbul sites from here via tram or walking (and lots of taxis in the area if you need one). Very good selection of cafes and restaurants nearby. The view is really a treat, especially first thing in the morning and at the end of the day as the sun sets. Arzu was very helpful and made sure that we got comfortably situated. I think that most independent travelers who are fit enough to handle the hilly neighborhood and stairs will have a five star experience at this apartment, but we had a neighbor be very loud for a considerable time one late night. According to Arzu these neighbors are on the way out and future visitors are unlikely to have this issue.

Simply....Arzu and her place were wonderful! My daughter and I spent a delightful week in Istanbul at Arzu's apartment. The apartment was all that we hoped for, the location was terrific, and Arzu was a kind and gracious host. Even better, we learned that her nearby restaurant was amazing as well. Thank you Arzu for making our trip to Istanbul such a great experience!!!!!

Everything was a delight : the view from the apartment, the location and the apartment itself. Arzu is a very nice person and the restaurant she is holding in the neighborhood is just perfect. This area of the city is very exciting, but people who cannot walk easily should pay attention to the fact that small streets are going uphill and downhill. That's also part of the charm.

Great hospitality and the view is so much better than the pictures. Apt had everything I needed. Location also ideal - close to everything but a few blocks off of the noisier streets. One caution: to earn the view you have to climb quite a few stairs; for me entirely worth it but then again I didn't bring much luggage.

What a truely wonderful apartment! Arzu was very friendly and helpful. The walk up the hill followed by five flights of stairs was well worth it once the veiws hit you. The photos dont do the views justice and they have to be seen to be beleived. Most of Istanbuls main historical attractions can be seen from the huge windows from the lounge and the balconies. The air con was wonderful, especially after the five flights of stairs! The apartment was well equipped and felt more like we where staying at a friends house rather than a holiday let. The apartment wasnt pristine but this again added to the homely and relaxed feel to the place. We loved every minute of being there and where extemely happy Arzu could accomodate us for an extra night at the beginning of our stay. Local area has every you need and is quiet compared to the hussle and bussle of alot other areas. A few small supermarkets, bakery, butchers, quirky shops and tea bars are all on the doorstep while a short strole through the winding streets gets you to the livelier shopping, drinking and eating district. Historical sights are around half hour walk away. There is so much to do in Istanbul that we only seen a fraction of it over six nights! Plus side to this is we will have to come back and see the rest, and Arzus apartment will be top of the list for were we would stay!

Very nice apartment in an excellent location, with a really beautiful view! I wasn't sure when we booked it if the view would be something we'd need binoculars to see, but when we opened the door we were immediately struck by the panorama outside! It felt very much like a friend's apartment- not fancy, but comfortable. Everything was clean and serviceable, and we felt very much at home. The apartment was a short (but steep!) walk from the Tophane tram stop and lots of nightlife, and maybe 15 minutes walk from Taksim Square. Just be aware that it is on the top floor, five flights up, and the neighborhood is extremely hilly and full of winding streets. But there's something interesting around every corner in Cihangir/Beyoglu, so by all means put on comfortable shoes and get yourself lost! We also recommend Arzu's restaurant, Dai Pera, where we had a lovely meal.
