Just outside Tintagel (Trewarmett) in a small meadow with lovely views down the hill to the sea, are my Bell Tents for hire...This is an off grid, eco camp, quiet, with just 1 or possibly 2 Bell Tents in the field - far enough away from each other to ensure seclusion and privacy; in a highly sought after location. The coastpath is nearby and accessible by footpath. Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Bay are close by. Bell Tents are waterproof in even hard rainfall, spacious and beautiful inside..
You will be staying in a 4 metre Bell Tent, which very comfortably sleeps two with room to spare and can happily accommodate up to 4 if you are a family and don't mind being a little more cosy. This is essentially camping/glamping, but Bell Tents are strong, waterproof, ready put up for your convenience, and spacious compared to your average tent. They are surprisingly snug when you are tucked up inside, and have a lovely ambient glow as the canvas "roof" stretches above you, in the morning light or in the light of a lantern at night. I really love Bell Tents, and I hope you will too:)
Bedding and towels can be provided and included in the price. Alternatively many people prefer to bring their own - please do let me know your preferences when you book - if you do bring your own, please do bring enough; bell tents are lovely, but it's still essentially camping (albeit with style and panache!) I don't want you to shiver..
I can provide different mattresses/beds depending on your party- please do let me know whether you would like 1 double or 2 single mattresses. Or all of them at once!
There is a small shower unit with a gas powered heated camp shower and a gas powered small heater. It's not a fabulous raindrop shower, but it will do the job!
There is a sawdust eco toilet. This is clean and sanitary and away from the Bell Tents. Please do be aware that sometimes an eco toilet can smell a little, however clean, this is just the nature of the beast! Think of how natural and off grid you are being!:) There are public loos in Tintagel and most villages so you probably won't end up spending too much time in there..
There are a couple of garden chairs outside of each Bell Tent for your use.
A small barbecue is provided for your use.
There is an area where you can leave your rubbish in a black bag and I will collect it.
There is only really one neighbouring house but please be considerate of them; remember they're not on holiday, alas, and may have work in the morning.
There are some lanterns to use in the small shower unit but please only take them into tent at your own risk, it could be dangerous.
Barbecuing is fine, encouraged, but please only in the actual barbeque, no fires directly on grass please.
What to bring? Basically whatever you would find useful on a camping trip! Except the bed/mattress) A torch, definitely. Lots of bedding!
Lastly, Please do be aware that this is an off grid, rural camping experience. The Bell Tents are wonderfully waterproof and surprisingly cosy, but confirmed "Townies" should probably look for a Hotel... I want you to enjoy yourself, get back to nature, and have lots of fun!- so just be sure before you book that nature, seclusion and camping is the kind of fun/experience you enjoy:)
You will have access to one of one/two Bell Tents in the Meadow. You will have shared access to a small (gas heated) off grid shower unit and separate eco sawdust composting toilet.
Bell Tents are far enough apart for peace and privacy. You may be the only tent in the field. Maximum of two.
There is space for two cars to park on wood chippings at the bottom of the meadow. Please be aware it is not possible to drive right up to the tent, so please bring a torch if you plan to come back after dark!

I'll leave you to it and give you your peace and quiet! - but I only live ten mins away and will always be available by phone. If I miss your call, leave a message and I'll get back to you ASAP.
I'll pop down at some point now and then to check gas bottles for the shower/heater, Water, and ensure everything is there that you need and to clean the eco toilet and replace toilet rolls etc.
There is a launderette in Tintagel open until 10pm if you need to wash any clothes.
There is a swimming pool in Camelford (5 miles) where you can shower(and swim!), for the price of a swim (about £4) if it becomes very cold and you would prefer not to use the Camp Shower in the small shower unit. - the shower is gas heated - so normally while not toasty it is bearable; just if it happened to turn extra chilly this is another option.
Другие важные подробности
There is parking space on wood chippings at the bottom of the meadow. Please be aware that you won't be able to drive all the way up so will have a short walk to your tent from the car - advisable to bring a torch!
The field is fine, but please do be aware that it is a meadow, and you will be driving over some grass and on to wood chippings. This is probably not the place for a Bentley or any other expensive car or one that is especially low to the ground.
Also please do be careful when entering and accessing the meadow - it's only a small Cornish road beside, but cars do still tend to whizz around the corner as it is a main access route to Tintagel - if you have a partner, get them to wave you out as visibility isn't the greatest! Be safe!
It's in a meadow so we don't have WIFI; you can usually get 3G if your mobile is set up for it though(I'm 02 and mine works fine there). Cafe's like Charlie's have WIFI and there are computers in Camelford Library if desperate!
Please let me know the number and nature of your party and I will ensure that the correct mattresses (single/double) are put in before your arrival.
Bedding can be provided on request, no worries at all, a lot of people prefer to bring their own though. It is advised to bring more than you think you will need- Bell Tents are lovely and waterproof but sunny weather cannot be guaranteed in Cornwall, alas...(It's why it's so lush and green:) It can get a little chilly at night, and I speak from experience!
- I've put suitable for children, as they are welcome to stay here of course, this is at parents discretion.
- Pets are welcome in my Bell Tents. It doesn't usually come up though! Not too sure about Dragons, would depend on how well behaved it was haha
- Please be aware that this is an off grid, rural camping experience. The Bell Tents are wonderfully waterproof and surprisingly cosy, but confirmed "Townies" should probably look for a Hotel. There is an eco toilet and gas powered heated shower in a separate unit.
