Home decorated in a Mediterranean style. It is located in a quiet side street, which is easy to get around: 7 minute walk to Tulum's main street, with easy access to all the restaurants and shops, and an 8 minute walk to Tulum's main supermarket. Everything is a bike ride away (there are 3 bikes for your use) - the place is not in the crowded tourist area, rather in a neighborhood of locals. The beach is 3 miles away, with the bike/pedestrian road leading to it only a few blocks away.
We have a kitchen equipped with stove, fridge, microwave oven, toaster, blender, drip coffee maker, French press coffee maker, pots, pans, and in general everything you need for your stay. Each room has a separate A/C unit (new units on the second floor rooms), and the Wi-Fi covers the entire house. There are two TVs with cable and shows in English/Spanish. We provide towels, sheets, shampoo, soap and tooth paste (tooth paste under request) for your visit. The upstairs bedrooms are newer and more modern. We have three bikes for your use during your stay.
The entire home is for your use. There is a gazebo out front, and the back is used for sun bathing. There are two balconies, one leading to the front and one to the back.
Общение с гостями
I really enjoy helping our guests plan their trip so let me know how can we help you. Think of me as your friend with all the local knowledge. We do not live in the area: you will be received by the housekeeper and she will be in charge of your check out as well. If you have any needs at all she lives in the house across the street and can help you out. I will be available through phone, email and text in case you need anything.
Другие важные подробности
While there is a garage, this is where the gazebo is installed. We have always parked at the curb right in front of the house, as do most neighbors in their own houses.
Running water has become a problem in Tulum as the town grows. We have two water tanks on the rooftop and one on the ground floor, but we recommend you be careful with the water. If by any reason you run out of water please let us know immediately so we can work on getting a water tank truck to the house.
We can provide fresh fruit and orange juice for breakfast, or a lunch/dinner of local dishes (Cochinita Pibil, Panuchos and Lima Soup) which is worth enjoying at the house, for an extra charge.
Tulum is a town with severe water problems. While we have taken all precautions to insure proper water availability at the house (there are two rooftop water tanks and one at ground level), we do ask that you take care of the water by not leaving faucets open and being conscious while showering.
Please help our environment by turning off lights and A/C when not in the house or room. Please do not keep the A/C running while the windows and doors are open.
I believe in traveling. In traveling as the great investment in life, and in holding a job so you can later go out and travel. My wife and my daughter both share my passion for traveling. Our purpose is to go as far as our money can take us, in reasonable comfort, but as often as possible to new places and new cultures. To build brotherhood with other nations, to understand them better and to create the empathy needed to really mourn when they are struck by misfortune - both natural and man made misfortune. To also learn to enjoy what other folk enjoy. To taste their food, to see their landmarks.
To expand our own mind.
To be a better citizen of this world.
