Our place is a spacious, renovated cortijo with many traditional features, great views & plenty mod cons to make your stay comfortable, including a private heated pool. It is situated in a traditional, Spanish village and within an easy drive you will find restaurants and tapas bars, beaches, local culture, markets, activities and excursions. You’ll love our place because of the views of rural Andalucia and it is a perfect place to switch off and relax. Our place is good for big groups.

Las Casitas is situated in a peaceful, Spanish village in rural Andalucia.

You will need a car to get around. Nearest Airports are as follows:
Almeria Airport approx. 45 minutes drive
Murcia (San Javair ) Airport approx. 1 hour 30 minutes drive
Alicanti Airport approx. 2 hour drive

- Arrival and departure: Unless otherwise negotiated, please arrive after 3pm and Depart by 11am. Parking: We have one car parking space to the right of the house. For additional parking please use the parking area below the pool and access the house via the steps up to the terrace. Please do not park in front of the house as access is required by the neighbours.
- Barbeque and Log Burner: Please leave these items in the condition that you found them. Boiler/heating/cooling: We have two hot water tanks, please do not unplug the water tanks unless there are issues, in which case please contact us immediately so that we can arrange to have fixed. There is a wood burning stove in the cosy snug sitting room which may be needed for winter rentals, please tell us in advance if you wish to use, so that we can ensure that it is functioning perfectly. All bedrooms have a ceiling mounted fan, except bedroom 3 (located off the large landing upstairs), where a standing electric fan has been supplied - please remember to turn off during the day when not using the rooms. Cushion & sun lounger care: Please try to respect the outside cushions & sun loungers by keeping wine, food and sun cream away. Thank you. Gas: The hob is run from bottled gas that is situated in the cooker. The paella ring also runs on gas. Replacement bottles are under cover, at the top end of the terrace, up the stairs by the black gate. Please leave a note on departure if you have made a replacement. Linen: If you wish for a weekly linen change this can be prior arranged for an additional cost. Or if you need a linen change during your visit please contact us. There will be additional costs for this service. Rubbish: It is essential that all rubbish should be disposed of in the large communal wheelie bins – we can give you details of nearest disposal points. Smoking: No smoking in the house please. If you do smoke outside, please bear in mind that the area around Las Casitas is generally very dry and it fires can easily start by dropped matches / cigarettes. Swimming Pool: During your stay the pool will be looked after by our pool cleaner. It is cleaned twice weekly in the main season (early morning). The PH and chlorine levels will be checked and the pool cleaned. It is advised that you use the net to remove insects/leaves etc. from the surface first thing in the morning and that you shower before entering the pool to remove excess sun cream. Also please be careful not to use glass wear near the poolside, in case of breakages. There are plenty of plastic cups, plates etc. that can be used around the pool and terrace. Please do not touch the pump and switches. Should there be any damages caused due to interference your deposit will not be returned. Should you have any problems with the pool please let us know. The pool has an automatic heating system which is preset and operates up until mid-July, and then again from 1st September onwards. Please do not touch the heating system. If you are staying from 1st September up until mid-July when the heating is on, a cover is provided for your use. To ensure a warm pool in the morning, please unroll the cover over the pool water surface in the evening, rolling back up in the morning. Please do not allow children to play on the cover or the roller mechanism. Again any damage would be chargeable from your deposit. Water: You can get drinking water from the small tap to the right of the sink in the lower terrace kitchen / food preparation area. This system works on osmosis and saves you the trouble of buying drinking water.

Location correspondant en tout point a l'annonce (calme,beauté du cadre et maison typiquement andalouse). Emma est disponible et répond à toute vos questions en très peu de temps. On se sent en confiance et je recommande cette location pour un dépaysement total sans encombre. Merci

I can't recommend this as it is dangerous because of the faulty electrics and too many things weren't working. Two of our party got electric shocks from appliances and the trip switch was going off constantly. When we arrived the wi-fi, TV and one of the water heaters weren't working, the pool had not been heated and the cleanliness of kitchen and bathrooms were not satisfactory. The location is great and the house could be lovely if these issues were resolved.

We appreciated the feedback from Guy and his party. This was the first letting of the season and unfortunately there were glitches as outlined by Guy. We did work to resolve problems as a matter of urgency which wasn’t mentioned in the review. We also maintained communication with Guy via text, telephone and email whilst resolving issues. Holidays are important for us all and that’s why we worked to sort things out as quickly as possible. Due to the unforeseen, unfortunate circumstances & hassle for Guy, we also suggested then refunded some of the booking cost which also wasn’t mentioned in the review. Our family loves Las Casitas and we want others to enjoy the property as much as us. Details on how we have addressed the issues below: We called the Wi-fi company and the wi-fi was restored within a day of Guy informing us (the TV box is dependant upon wi-fi). We do find that wi-fi drops out occasionally when we stay and we simply need to request that the wi-fi company resets. If this situation arises in the future which it will given this is rural Spain, we would suggest that any guests contact us immediately and we will arrange for it to be sorted urgently. Re pool temperature: there had been a power cut which meant the pool was below temperature. Our pool-man visited the premises on the first full day of this letting and resolved the temperature of the pool. There were electrical issues and we sent our cleaner plus an electrician to look at the premises as soon as they could visit after Guy told us about the issues. The electrician dealt with issues and informed us the property was safe. There was an earthing issue which had been resolved. We visit Las Casitas as often as we can and have a young family ourselves so we are accutely aware of safety, of course this had to be sorted as a matter of urgency which it was. We have two water heaters. One is functioning perfectly. The second water heater which was not working was brand new & had been newly installed a week prior to Guy’s letting. It obviously had a manufacturer’s fault which is a nuisance. However, this has already been replaced since this letting. Guy told us that the kitchen was not clean on arrival. We did not know that the bathrooms were not clean until reading this review. The house has a full clean prior to every single letting so we are liaising with our cleaner on these concerns. This is the first time we have heard an issue regarding our cleaner.
