Hi Adam, I'm sorry to hear you didn't see the value of the apartment. I provide the basic amenities-- toiletries, cooking supplies, etc. and am clear about the apartments not having T.Vs unless requested (I have two smart t.v's that travel throughout the 3 apartments but they were both in use at the time of your stay, as I explained before you and your colleague decided to book).
The parking, as described in the check-in instructions is private and is located directly behind the building. I'm sorry you didn't see that and thought you had to park on the street.
As far as air conditioning, in upstate NY most people don't put in their air conditioners until Memorial Day unless it is unseasonably warm. Since there are ceiling fans in every room, I kept an eye on the temps in May and since it wasn't too warm, I waited until Memorial Day weekend to install them, as planned.
Lastly, your stay was $138/night for a 5 night stay, not $160. The price goes down the longer you stay and most people are in town for a while for work. Every now and then there are short term stays available and most people who book come with between 3 and 5 people. If I had a smaller, less expensive apartment I would have offered it to you and your colleague.
