Our family minus the collegiate, so, 4 of us, booked for Spring Break to do our usual week of swimming and relaxing all day, foodie restaurant-ing in the evening, and card/game/movie/hanging out together at night. We selected this home as our destination. Here's what we thought: Even before our stay, we found Michel and Karen, his local coordinator, to be super pleasant and responsive! (Thank you!) Upon arrival, Karen met us near the entrance to the neighborhood. She gave us a tour/overview. A+ so far...
As far as the house- the 3 bedrooms plus office/BR are all spacious, clean and comfortable. All BRs had perfect outdoor spaces with seating. All bedrooms had a TV (I'm sure they were in working order though we didn't check) and all were en-suite. (Bonus- 2 have cedar closets-yum!) The beds were very comfortable and the linens and towels (important to my picky family ) were great-100% cotton everything. Towels were like-new, fresh-smelling but not too scent-y white RL towels including plenty of oversized bath sheets! Yay!
Other rooms-dining room, dinette room, the circle room, and upstairs gathering spot were perfect and each has a fireplace if you go when it's chilly. The kitchen was perfect for group breakfasts- love the stove and the fridge had lots of room. Each looks better than the online pictures! We brought a couple new movie DVDs along but couldn't figure out the player/sound system, plus it was in the dining area so we just netflixed instead up in the gathering room, where we could also make use of the outside top deck Kiva for s'mores. Incidently, we never needed to adjust air and the window shades were auto-timed, skylit in the day, plenty of lighting configurations at night, all good! Side note: I can see where several families could share the house and really enjoy it too!
So onto the outside space-loved waking early, coffee-ing up (yay K-cup brewer!) and going to the uber-peaceful patio fireplace to contemplate the beauty of the day with only birdsong and the occasional disembodied voice of a golfer. (You can barely see them unless they have on bright hats, so the pool area is quite private with lush desert landscaping screening you from view) the pool is nicely sized, at perfect temperature and has good lounge chairs to move about. With several serving trays in the kitchen to bring out lunch, we found it easy to live outside all day. LOVE. We were unaware the hot tub did not work, but we really didn't much miss it. Sometimes the pool lights came on at night and we'd swim. One night we heard coyotes but other than that it was blissfully quiet.
This home is a lovely new entry to Airbnb (3 guest visits as of our visit). I think with more experience they may choose to put together a binder for operating things if needed, but we had a fantastic time regardless and look forward to staying again (DIBBS! haha).
